I stayed here for 4 nights while walking nearby mountains. This B and B was so good that it is difficult to know where to begin with my praise! First, the welcome. it couldn't have been warmer. Jim and Ina who run the place are genuinely interested in their guests and this soon became evident. Possibly some people may find... More

This guest chose to visit Inverstrae in what turned out to be the most severe weather of the 2015 winter and it was important to ensure the best of comfort for him following taxing and difficult days on the mountains around us. In the pursuit of his hill walking interests he has gained an extensive experience of guesthouses and B&B's... More

I hiked a long way to this B&B and it was worth it for the spectacular location and generous hospitality. Jim & Ina were excellent and interesting hosts and I relished Ina's soup and steak & kidney pie after a long day. A memorable haven off the beaten track.

We stayed with Jim and Ina recently and felt so welcomed. The views from every window in their B&B were truly stunning. We could lay in our bed curtains open (no neighbours) and the mountains were in full view. So sunset and sunrise were spectacular. They are so strategically placed for Munro Bagging and to be able to soak our... More

This was the most amazing BnB I've ever been too. The property was located on a remote hill, in the centre of a huge glenn, surrounded by hairy cows and sheep with stunning, 180 degree views. The cooking was better than what you'd find at a high-end restaurant and the little details like the tea in the rooms, really made... More

It was a pleasure to host this Canadian / Scottish group at Inverstrae. They experienced the jaw dropping location of our home, which to us , demands the best in service and cuisine to match our environment. This calls for considerable attention to detail and the best ingredients for our menus so to receive praise such as given in this... More

James and Ina are a friendly couple who gave us a very warm welcome. We enjoyed drinks together, and Ina's delicious home-cooked meal. Our room was nice and the bed very comfy. The location of the b&b, between the hills and sheep, makes you forget the rest of the world. We immensely enjoyed our stay and warmly recommend Inverstrae.

These Dutch guests were welcome visitors to our Highland Home and we are very appreciative of both their review and the comments left in our Visitors Book. They took advantage of our packed lunch service which they say "came in very handy after a wet, windy and shivery descent from Cruachan Dam". Even in summer these conditions can occur up... More

It was a pleasure to entertain this family group who used our facilities to enjoy a reunion of the Scottish and Canadian branches of their family. They enjoyed the culinary delights we are able to offer guests who dine at Inverstrae and the comments they make are very welcome. Flexibility is one of the services we also offer at Inverstrae... These guests enjoyed a week at Inverstrae. They used our facilities as a base from which to radiate out, some days by car to further areas of Argyll, but mainly to take advantage of the many walking routes which surround us here at Inverstrae. By staying for an extended period they were able to enjoy a number of the menus... More

My partner and I, we found ourselves in this position while travelling to Scotland last week. Fortunately we came across fantastic place called Inverstrae. The moral of this review is never to give up looking. This couple were able to capitalise, at short notice, on a blocked space in our booking schedule and enjoy our facilities as they travelled thru' Scotland from their farm in Ireland. We are very appreciative of their comments which enable us to ensure that we continue to provide service... More

Inverstrae is a little piece of paradise nestled in the hills just off the beaten track near dalmally. My wife and I only spent one night there, and were made to feel like family by our very welcoming hosts, the place was spotless, beds were comfortable and the home made food was to die for. Thanks.

It was a pleasure to welcome this couple, who arrived, on their way to a short cruise, as strangers and left as friends the next day.
