Had an excellent weekend in Melfort the weather has been exceptional 19.5c scenery and spring flowers were stunning - enjoyed the walks, new hot tub and sitting out in the sun on the new picnic benches. Haybarn Cottage is very comfortable with a new kitchen and bathroom and our first week staying there in March couldn't have been better. Disappointed... More

Delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your visit to Melfort Village and the lovely weather we enjoyed whilst you were here. Very sorry to read of your disappointment with the Shower of Herring Restaurant, which is under new management. I do know that the chef strives to purchase locally produced excellent quality food. Meat is either organic, free range... More

We spent a week at Melfort at the beginning of March this year. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage in the walled garden. We were immediately struck by the quality of the apartment and its fittings. The only downside was that the wi-fi in the cottages wasn't working - not a problem for us but our 19 year old... More

So pleased to hear how much you enjoyed your stay at Melfort Village and that you appreciated the hard work that goes into keeping the cottages looking so good. The Wi-Fi problem is due to a telephone fault and we are waiting patiently for a repair. The good news is that Wi-Fi will be extending across much of Melfort Village... More

A West Coast gem, perfect for exploring the local area. The cottages are traditional but beautifully equipped with a central Club with comprehensive facilities.

We have just returned from our first visit to Melfort village cottages and it will not be our last. The cottages are clean and very well equipped. The pool is warm and a new spa bath has just been installed. This is primarily timeshare but they do rent units if there are vacancies so do not discount if you are... More

Just back from a two week trip to bonnie Scotland, first week at Brunston Castle, followed by Melfort Village. We stayed in Coachmans West, one of a pair of single storey semi's above the laundry store.Approached by a fairly steep set of stone steps, this is not ideal for those with mobility problems, but does afford the benefit of the... Have just returned from a wonderful week at Melfort. There were four of us in Walled Garden 2. We have visited many timeshares in the UK and rate this as one of the best. The apartment was very comfortable with high quality fittings and furnishing - could have taken the crockery home!!! The Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Although... More

Spent two weeks at Melfort Village and had a fabulous time yet again. The accommodation is by far the best in the area. The cottages are fully equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings - there's nothing tacky here! The staff are extremely professional and also have a wealth of local knowledge on where to go in the area. Nothing... More

Walled Garden 11 We were four adults staying at Melfort Village at the end of July and beginning of August. We were competing in the Scottish 6-days orienteering competition in Oban and had a great stay at Melfort. It's about a thirty minute drive to Oban and the scenery is beautiful. There are walking paths near the village and it's... More

Stayed at 'Blacksmiths Cottage' in the inner village section: splendid two-bedroom house beside the river. Warm, comfortable, clean: bonus of traditional open fire (as well as storage and panel heaters). Near: Reception, Shower of Herring Restaurant; Swimming Pool / Sauna. Lovely autumn colours; really enjoyed a seatrip round Scarba on 'Farsain'. Sorry National Trust for Scotland's nearby Arduaine Gardens were... More

We were very glad to read that these guests had such an enjoyable time at Melfort Village despite the lateness of the season and look forward to welcoming them again in the future. Arduaine Gardens are now fully open after the storm damage. More
