Stayed in Blacksmiths cottage. Beautiful surroundings. Gorgeous views from all windows. Private lovely garden with river at back. Cottage was lovely and everything we needed was catered for. Facilities were great as were staff. Very helpful and friendly. Also very dog friendly.

Really tucked away in a beautiful part of Scotland. A car is a must. Very friendly staff who checked us in and also provided a very informative introductory meeting with local information about places to visit etc. The accommodation was very good quality with a kitchen fully equipped for those who truly want to self cater. A great place for... More

In lots of ways the setting alone should gives this top marks, however, there are plenty of other options in the area which give you not just the stunning scenery, but who give you what the modern traveler expects for their money. You will have to pay a hefty price for your electricity, on top of the rental. If you... More

Thank you for your review. We are aware that our wifi is not good enough in the cottages and we are investigating solutions to improve this, however this is an issue all over the west coast of Scotland and until fibre optic broadband is available in this area it will always be a problem. This is why we do not... More

Located in a rural, pastoral setting, Melfort Village is perfect for a relaxing getaway. We came on a timeshare exchange through RCI and were very happy with the week we spent here. It is centrally located for sightseeing around the southwestern region of Scotland known as Argyll/Bute. Like much of Scotland, access to the resort is best by car and... More

Visited Melfort village on a time share exchange through Dial and Exchange. We stayed in Melford Lodge for a week. Well placed lodge in the middle of the 'village' with good facilities. Very comfortable with lots of room, comfortable beds and sensible yet tasteful furnishings. The night store heating is a challenge to manage given the variable west coast weather.... More

Melfort Village is a beautiful, peaceful haven in an isolated area. It has everything anyone could need for a complete break from a hectic lifestyle. The cottages are well equipped with views over the loch. We played tennis, table tennis, pool and mini golf. There is also a small indoor heated swimming pool and outside play area for children. The... More
