Stayed here for News Years Eve the hosts were very welcoming and put on a free large finger buffet just to 'line our stomachs' - much appreciated! Great place enjoyed the free pool and table football also had an amazing full english for breakfast with haggis - nice touch. The location had a remote feel without being too far from... More

We had a fabulous short stay and will definitely be back again. The hosts were really welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel right at home. The family room was very comfortable and we could have happily stayed another night. Thank you.

We stayed 1 night with our children who slept in a rickety bunk bed, our bed creaked with every turn and in the morning our shower didn't work and we had to leave unshowered! There was no dinner available as advertised and this was part of the appeal travelling with 2 children. On a positive note its in a beautiful... More

Where to start, Me and my wife had our evening reception to our wedding at the Hadrian lodge hotel .. We had some let downs in regards to the wedding such as cakes and afternoon reception but jim was there to save the day even offering his own car when the minibus let us down, He gave every guest a... Booked online, advert said B&B was in Hexham, it isn't. Hotel is about 2 miles from Haydon Bridge. Made very welcome when we got there, room was average. The whole place could do with a refurb. It's not dirty etc. if you go there you will see what I mean. Well situated for Hadrian's Wall etc. As a previous reviewer... More

Incredibly generous owner, Jim, who picked us up from the wall when we'd walked 18 miles and realised we were still several miles away! Even drove us in to town to the local pub and picked us up again afterwards because he didn't have a chef in that night. Clean and comfortable and good value for money. Lovely breakfast too!

James is a great host. Enjoyed the scenery at the hotel and the sheep and pheasants. Room was nicely decorated, clean, and enjoyed views from the window. Breakfast is very good. Would definitely go back again.

I booked 5 rooms at this hotel for 9 guests. I spoke directly to the owner, Jim, who assured me that the rooms were booked and even gave me the name of a local taxi firm so that I could make arrangements for the night in Newcastle which we planned. Two weeks before we were due to arrive, I received... More

This client made a telephone enquiry and was given assistance in finding a local taxi service that would take his party in 1 vehicle. Having secured a taxi he came back and completed the booking, but later when we entered the booking onto the electronic system we found that some of the rooms that were shown as being available in... Having just spent a few days at the Hadrian Lodge Hotel, my wife, daughter and I felt we just had to comment on the service and fun we had. Jim et al. made us feel totally welcome from the outset, 'spinning dits' and reminiscing over places and people we had known or met (without realising, we had many mutual peers... More

Had a fab room overlooking the lake. Very helpful owner with lifts to and from Hadrians wall. Breakfast a bit mundane but fine. Excellent value walkers hotel. Isolated so not so easy to get dinner. Varied livestock around and in hotel. Enough to write
