We've loved our previous stays at this hotel. The atmosphere, service and, most particularly, the dining has been exceptional. We agree with some reviewers that the bathrooms needed some attention - housekeeping staff could get at the mould with some bleach! I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews of this hotel but can honestly say that the hotel was wonderful, the setting was lovely and the staff very friendly and attentive. A lot of things about the Grinkle Park Hotel are "grand": the drive into the property, the building itself, the hall area, the grounds. Grinkle Park is in a lovely setting. Staff friendly enough. Breakfast was great. We were in Azalea room - which also overlooks the bins and the rooftops. If you stay here make sure you avoid this room; our sleep was disturbed repeatedly the sound of some fan or machinery whirring away ALL NIGHT LONG - and I am half deaf!... more

The staff were lovely, the food was nice and well executed and the "superior double room" we were given had a view of roofs(the only one in the hotel) and cracked and moldy bath tiles.
