Quite enjoyed our visit...there are areas of the hotel that look "tired" and the double bed was like sleeping on molehills (room 12)... the staff were helpful and considerate...food took a little time to emerge but was of decent quality and quantity...breakfast was fine no problems...overall reasonable value for money

Thank you for your review. The room you were in is one of a corridor which we are due to work on next, following some roof work. The mattress will be a priority, I can assure you! Best wishes, Cathy More

I held my 50th birthday party at the Spa Hotel in May this year. The whole event could not have been better, if I had wished it. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating throughout the planning, the event itself and for the guests who stayed for the weekend. The venue for the evening event was perfect. I decorated the... More

First time of visiting since a large refurbishment started. A very pleasant surprise. The main dining area is in a Conservatory type room with outstanding views over the sea. Bright and airy with good spacing between the tables. Lunchtime visit. Menu not large but some interesting additions to the average pub menu. Service friendly and attentive without being rushed Food... More

We planned to stay for 4 nights during the half term break and that quickly turned into 6! Hotel staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Our family room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is dated in areas but improvements are being made all the time. The food served at breakfast and lunch was very good... More

Thank you for your review. I've spent today collecting information for our visitor info packs and absolutely agree that they are needed in the rooms! Since taking over in September, we have had a long " to do" list and this has always been one of them. It's good to have a nudge though and we're on to it. Please... More

I stayed with my Mum & Dad and teenage son. The location is fab...and once the mist cleared we had some great views down onto the beach and along the cliffs. The hotel itself has a lovely patio area outside and ample parking. The rooms were very clean, well furnished and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful... More

With a prime location and decent rooms this place could be great, but the management need to invest more on staff. We visited on Bank Holiday and it was obvious that the same staff covered bar, restaurant, reception as best they could, but inevitably they were spread too thin. Some of the staff just got on with it and were... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights over bank holiday weekend. The room, although the furthest away from reception (room 24) was large, comfortable, light and airy with a slight view of the sea. The staff were attentive despite being rushed off their feet on the Sunday with the carvery lunch, introduction of the afternoon tea, warm weather and... More

I have stayed here many times and always been made most welcome by the lovely staff. The rooms are comfortable spacious and clean. Plumbing can be a bit noisy. The restaurant serves great food with a view of the sea and Huntcliff. The menu is restaurant quality - not standard pub grub, although you can get fish and chips if... More

We stayed here on returning to Saltburn, where we used to live. The hotel is in a brilliant position, overlooking the sea. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your lovely review. The addition of Wifi to our bedrooms is definitely on our list of planned improvements! I will pass on your comments to our staff-they work really hard and will appreciate them. We're glad your mum had a good time too and hope to see you again. Many thanks, Cathy Kelly More
