A magical converted farmhouse in an otherwise empty valley in southern Spain, Casa Olea gave us pretty much everything we could have wanted it to. A special setting. Beautiful, comfortable rooms. Delicious food, cooked by Claire. Beautiful hiking, on routes prepared by Tim. A wonderful and intelligent dog – Ruby – who comes walking with you, and leads the way... More

We spent 4 nights at Casa Olea between Christmas and New Year with our 3 daughters aged 13, 10 and 9. We were looked after wonderfully from start to finish. The house and its location are charming, and the surrounding region for now a well kept secret. Tim and Clare offer excellent advice about where to walk, what to visit... More

We returned to Casa Olea for the US Thanksgiving week and were able to stay for five nights this time in late November. It was every bit as delightful as two years ago when we stayed during June. An interesting twist this trip was that we were the only guests and Tim and Clare would join us for dinner in... More

It's difficult to know what to add to all of the glowing reviews of this exquisite house. We've racked our brains for something that wasn't perfect, and there's nothing! We stayed for four nights and coming back each evening was like coming home - without having to do the housework and cooking, both of which were done impeccably. Clare and... More

Tim and Claire have created something really special here. This is like the Rivendell of bed and breakfasts. Everything about it is absolutely top flight. Here's what we loved about it: - Olive oil tasting. Learned a lot as a foodie, but also about the business of olive oil - Claire and the dude they invited to make paella are... More

I stayed here with my mum on a five day trip to Andalucia in November. It was perfect. The hotel is nestled in one of the most picturesque areas imaginable, very rural with the nearest village a drive / long walk away. Our room was simple but beautifully designed, the twin beds were ridiculously comfortable and I had some wonderful... More

Casa Olea deserves the accolades - picturesque, scenic, friendly hosts, great food, clean, hospitable - an ideal place to use as a base for exploring local village or visiting Cordoba. Tim and Claire are perfect hosts. They share their love for Spain and the area and with all their recommendations, set days of ideal outings (and good meals). Claire is... More

Casa Olea is simply a great place—in a great place-- the rolling, olive tree-studded foothills of the Sierras Subbéticas in Andalucia. We feel fortunate to have spent four lovely days with Tim and Claire, innkeepers of the first rank, whose expert advice and recommendations guided us to the white-washed walls of hill-top villages and small towns like Zuheros, Alcalá la... Our week in Casa Olea was wonderful. Claire and Tim have created a perfect place to stay. The rooms were simple, beautiful and immaculately clean. The situation, the food, the pool, the fabulous picture window in the stairwell - every last detail was perfect. All the staff were charming, immensely helpful and unobtrusive. Masses of carefully prepared information and maps... More

There's not a lot you can add to all the things that have already been said about Casa Olea, but I thought I could add another voice, saying just the same things - lovely place, great people, amazing food. Definitely a place to return to.
