Recently spent a night here on our way back from Cornwall. The hotel is a great place for a quiet relaxing break. Its a joy to find a genuine country house hotel which is still family run and not owned by some corporate group. The guest rooms are huge, the dining facilities wonderful and there are also 2 very relaxing... More

My wife and I spent a wonderfully restful, relaxing and quiet week in a charming and comfortable hotel. The grounds added very much to our enjoyment. The food was excellent and it was a real delight to enjoy our dinners in a beautifully decorated dining room. Also at breakfast there was plenty of choice. We very much appreciated the kind attention... More

Four of us travelled to Devon to see my daughter, who had recommended this hotel, and arrived on Friday afternoon for a long weekend to be greeted with tea and cake and a roaring fire. The rooms were very large, the large beds very comfortable and everything you could need was supplied. We elected to stay in for the evening... More

I have stayed at the court barn many times over the past few years and it is always a pleasure. Sue and Bob are very experienced hoteliers and have won many awards for their service. Many famous gusts have stepped across the threshold and been catered for. The house sits at the top of a quaint lane in the village... More

We stayed here for 3 days in March. The room was very clean and significantly larger that of a standard hotel room these days. WiFi was included and was fast enough for everything we used it for. The hotel while easily accessible, is set away from the road and so was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. On our arrival we were... More

We don't get away often so when we do we just want to be comfortable and well fed! This hotel provided just that. Tea in front of a roaring fire, an enjoyable evening meal (With 10 different types of vegetable!), the nicest bed I've slept in in a hotel and a lovely breakfast (The sausages are delicious) just when we... We have stayed here three times now and are always made most welcome by Sue and Robert, the owners. It is small but charming small hotel, the rooms are large by modern standards and exquisitely decorated in William Morris style wallpaper. The food is excellent and the owners go out of their way to meet any special requirements. This is... More

Court Barn is a lovely traditional hotel, in a beautiful setting, quite idyllic. Rooms are large and comfortable, with plenty of character so unlike the more modern but soulless hotels you tend to find in the cities and towns, although could do with some refurbishment. Cooked breakfast is available and cooked fresh to order, not a buffet style ,where it... More
