We stayed in Samos (Vathi) as a jumping-off point to Kusadasi/Ephesus, Turkey. Samos doesn't have much for beaches, but Gagou Beach is about the best you'll get within reasonable walking distance of Samos (15 minutes' walk). We lucked into this hotel as we hadn't planned on staying here. It has a lovely view of the bay. Is close enough to walk to the town (10 minutes) and has a great beach. The kids swam all day while I slept on the beach under one of their umbrellas. We walked to town to bring back Italian food.... more

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. When we arrived the friendly staff welcomed us with a free drink. The room with 2 very comfty beds and sofa was quite big and cute, it had bathroom with tub, TV, fridge and A/C. It was also very clean. The balcony view was amazing, looking right at the... more

stayed there during high season for the honeymoon. The staff was friendly though lacking language skills except for a few memorized lines. There is a great beach within 10 meters walk. Great sea-view from all rooms. Modest but clean rooms. breakfast was not that good. Close to the city center (vathy). almost the best in this remote quiet and adorable... more
