Stayed with my partner and our daughter (14 months) at the smaller cottage at Kitu Kidogo for two weeks in march 2014. We absolutely loved it! The cottage is nicely decorated inside out, well maintaned, and the porch facing the ocean breeze is a really good place to hang out, especially for our daughter. The excellent staff gives the place... More

My wife and I stayed in the smaller cottage over Christmas. We had a great holiday. Edith was more then helpful whether arranging bookings for the restaurant, arranging taxis or doing our laundry. She was wonderful. We ate a couple of times in Ali Barbour's and a couple of time down the beach at Nomads both great restaurants. Our only... More

Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Kitu Kidogo Cottages and found the location convenient. We are also delighted to hear that apart from the December coastal heat Sahani cottage was perfect for you! We have decided to look into installing an A/C unit instead of just adding more fans. We... Our family of 4 adults and 3 children rented both cottages over New Years. Great location with walking distance to Diani shopping center, Forty Thieves/beach access. The grill and patio were favorties with evenings spent on the outside couches and dining area. Edith was wonderful and booking management easy to work with. The big cottages has 2 a/c units in... A beautiful cottage.... absolutely no doubts about it, lovely position, fantastic design, delightful decor, comfortable, lush and fabulous. Edith was very helpful, she was a good cook and the evenings she cooked she did an excellent job, she was less keen i feel to clean, and i don't blame her!! However, she kept it neat and tidy but i feel... More

We stayed for 4 nights and it was really relaxing. The other villa on the plot was vacant so we had the whole grounds to ourselves. The outdoor dining and lounge area were great. While the villa's aren't on the beach - they are easy walking distance. They are also very close to Ali Baba restaurant (a must visit) and... More

We spent 5 wonderful nights in this fabulous little cottage. Setting is so peaceful and relaxing especially the outdoor area! Location is good, short walk to beach, restaurant and shops. Edith made our stay extra special, she is friendly, helpful and has a lovely sense of humour.Bruno cooked delicious meals and spoilt us. Would love to revisit one day.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Sahani cottage. We found it warm and cozy. The 'hidden' and serene environment is relaxing, a big plus and well worth the holiday. Edith was very kind and warm. We found her meals delicious and surely enjoyed everyone of them. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for 5 nights in the larger cottage with friends and we loved it. We especially loved the outdoor dining Area and spent a lot of time relaxing out there. I stayed in the one bedroom cottage in late May. I was so happy to get to this cottage after my safaris up north. What a great end to a great vacation. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kitu Kidogo is an exclusive holiday retreat tucked away in a coastal indigenous forest that has been around for centuries. It comprises of two beautiful cottages made out of coral, sandstone and wood showing off the various textures of the ancient Swahili coastline. Each cottage is dressed with intricately hand carved Lamu furniture, Rajhastani and South African soft furnishings and Afghani and Ethiopian wool Rugs. The walls reflect our travels around the globe. Each wall piece has been carefully selected to fit in with the theme of the cottage giving the spaces an exotic but at the same time a harmonious look. The palm lamp shades highlight the beauty of each piece with its soft glow. What the cottage evokes is memories of the old Africa influenced by the spice trade route! Kitu Kidogo is ideal for families, groups and couples. If you are looking for comfort, style, privacy and personalized service then this is the perfect holiday home for you! ... more   less
