We visited Kinondo Kwetu for 7 days after a week's safari. The perfect place to wind down and relax. Accommodation was excellent. Staff are all brilliant - special mention to Dickson who is incredible - always at hand with such a friendly smile !. True, the food is a 'fixed' menu, but you can ask for alternatives - we travelled... More

From the minute I arrived the kind och loveable staff of Kinondo Kwetu took great care of me. I checked in with my 3 kids, 9, 7 and 1 year old. I thought I would have a hard time with 3 kids on my own. But the sweet nanny, Rut (that Kinondo arranged for me) helped me with the kids... More

I feel I must reiterate the last reviewers comment for anyone who is considering a trip to the coast. We considered cancelling this portion of our Kenyan adventure and we are so so glad we did not. We felt incredibly safe both at the property and in Diani Beach. Our multigenerational family from ages 8-65 arrived here after 12 days... More

Before I tell you how amazing this place was, for those of you who are worried about visiting this place due to its proximity to Mombasa, we had the same reservations. We really did debate whether to cancel this part of our holiday but I am so glad we didn't as this place felt so safe and 20 miles from... More

The perfect spot for relax, the perfect spot for doing what you like, wonderful staff and wonderful food. Diving, snorkeling is perfect and yoga is magic..Perfect for children and also perfect if you travel without children. 2 pools and one of them is huge and perfect to dive in. The beach is calm.

Kinondo Kwetu almost imposes relaxation on you the minute you arrive. From the friendly welcome to the sea breeze coming into the beautifully decorated main house, you immediately start to unwind. The cottages we stayed in were spacious and very comfortable. Typically you take an hour or two over breakfast, maybe have a wander along the beach area that is... More

We visited Kinondu Kwetu after visiting two safari camps. We were met off the plane and as another party were flying in, were driven to the hotel in a car that was totally unsatisfactory for the rocky road that you need to drive along for 2 miles before you get to the hotel. On the way back to the airport,... More

One of the absolute best places to enjoy your vacation in Kenya. It's not the luxury of TV and electronic stuff, but all the friendliness of lovely staff, nature, space, quality of food, relaxation and just the thing that you have your lunch and dinner at different places at the resort every day. It really feels like a Home away... More

Kinondo Kwetu is one of those really rare places. They've managed to combine luxury with a laid-back, easy-going, personal touch - something that so many hotels try to do but can't because they lack passion and love for the place. It isn't cheap, but it's so clear that the hotel isn't about earning a buck, it's about making people relax... More

We spent a few days here based on a couple of reviews we had read and expecting much more than we received. Firstly, the price is outrageous compared to other very comparable places in the area. Unless you like to burn money, I would suggest trying other resorts, many of which offer better service, better food, better hospitality. More than... More

Dear ”trip girl(?) Please give us some more specific feedback, as to in which way Kinondo Kwetu does not live up to your expectations, or else we will question if you actually did spend time here. Our prices are in level with other comparable places in the area, like Almanara and Alfajiri. And we do not recognize the rigid non-negotiable... More
