Our stay recently at the Sunshine Resort was a great one. We had a superior one bedroom suite with a terrific view of the harbor. Very basic but clean. King sized bed was awesome, but don't expect much from the futon sleeper sofa. Ralph, the owner, couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The location was perfect and only a... more

Coming from Vancouver Island where I've spent couple of wonderful days in Ucluelet, Tofino and Coombs I can say that I've expected more from this resort. On the net everything looks ok but coming there the situation is a little different: spider's nets all around the porch (but that’s normal living close to nature) but having them inside the suite... more

This is a lovely place in Madeira Park for its great view of the harbour and the well-maintained gardens. But the infrastructure is showing its age in places and needs some refurbishing. There was a lot of sound transfer between floors of the building I was in, which I don't welcome early in the morning. At $185 my room was... more

Stayed in cottage. Exceptionally hot days here and no A/C in cottage but fortunately it got cool at night. Bedroom has one window and no screens. Left it open anyway. Quiet later at night but noise from people above and walking up stairs next to cottage. Marginal view of small harbor from cottage. No food at resort and not many... more

Everything about this resort gets high marks from my husband and I. From the views, the grounds, the wharf, the owners and employees, to the beautiful rooms and amenities. It was one of the highlights of our trip on the Sunshine Coast. Looking forward to staying there again. more

We just spent four days in stunningly beautiful and quiet Madeira Park, a tiny town comprising two of the hideaway coves of Pender Harbour, B.C. Pender Harbour is a cluster of inlets and villages on the eastern edge of the Juan de Fuca Straights. The Sunshine Coast Resort includes several multi-unit buildings and two cottages stepped up a terraced hillside... more

After considerable research, we selected the Sunshine Coast Resort Hotel & Marina as one of our places to stay while vacationing in British Columbia and Washington. We spent three days there, and without a doubt, this resort is one of the finest. This waterfront location is beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained with an abundance of trees, shrubs and flowers to... more

Without any booking in advance, we have selected this resort from the BC Accommodation Guide Book , we got in the Visitors Centre, somewhere on the way. It was the perfect shot. When we saw this fantastic view on a marina harbour and picturesque houses on the cliff, we decided immediately to stay there for the night. Beside of perfect... more

We decided to have a quick getaway during Spring Break and I looked on the website for a destination on the Sunshine Coast. This resort appealed to me because it had one bedroom suites with a kitchenette. This worked out really well for our family with a 4 month old and 23 month old. March is not the ideal time... more

This review pertains specifically to the standard one-bedroom suite we stayed in for four days in late August 2008 at the nightly rate of $185 + $20 for a pet + tax; we are not in a position to review the luxury accommodation photographed on the website. The grounds, for the most part, are beautifully landscaped and maintained, and the... more
