I am staying at this lovely B and B in a tiny town outside of chenonceaux. The room is small of course but the bathroom is much larger than expected and newly decorated in tasteful tile. Isabelle, the owner has made us feel very welcome and has provided everything we could possibly need. There's even a hair dryer !!!! The... More

This B & B is a little jewel in the Loire Valley chateau region! We were welcomed warmly by Isabelle and Jannick just as if we had known them for years. We certainly enjoyed our lovely room (Puerto Angel---which has been previously described in other reviews), the hospitality of our hosts, the fun of meeting other friendly guests, having the... We stayed at La Haute Traversiere as part of a cycling trip round the Loire. We chose it as it is conveniently located for visiting Chenonceaux. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and we would thoroughly recommend staying here. It is a lovely peaceful spot. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and Isabelle is an excellent host. We... More

This was our (my wife and I) second visit to La Haute Traversière. We were first here in 2011 and loved it so much, we absolutely knew where we had to stay on this return trip to the Loire Valley. And we weren't disappointed! Au contraire, (nice bit of French, eh!) we were totally blown away! Since we were going... More

We will return without a doubt! Isabelle was extremely welcoming and went out of her way to make sure all was right. She speaks some English although I enjoyed using my French. It is such a tranquil place with the cooing of the turtle doves and ring of church bells ( only between 7 am and 10 pm). So very... More

We chose to stay at La Haute Traversiere based on its ideal location for visiting Amboise and the many beautiful chateaux in the area but primarily because of the multiple excellent reviews. It is only 5 minutes from the Chateau de Chenonceau and 20 minutes from Amboise where we found an excellent chocolatier! This B&B is a charming 19th century... More

We stayed at La Haute Traversiere on our way back from the UK. It was an ideal location for visiting the lovely city of Amboise and magnificent Chateau of Chenonceau. The "Iguana" room was spacious and clean. The house and gardens are delightful. We enjoyed having breakfast with other guests. Isabelle's Mum's homemade jams were delicious. We would certainly recommend... More

I stayed here for Easter 2012 with my two daughters. The room for us was perfect for a family, with a loft bedroom and two single bed upstairs and a double bed and bath downstairs. But more importantly, our hosts were amazing. You would be very foolish not to eat here every night. The food is divine and wine flowed... More

Thanks to previous reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to stay at this B&B and were not disappointed. Isabelle and Janick's hospitality is outstanding! We enjoyed two lovely dinners and the fresh bread and homemade jams for breakfast were delicious. It was also terrific that we met the other guests staying at the B&B at breakfast and dinner.
