The hotel itself was nice and located very well. But there was something lacking in the hotel itself. The rooms were lovely but some of the services were a bit limp. The food on our menu wasn't what was on the full menu, the bathrooms were not up to a 4* standard, but this does not take away from the... more

Took the kids for bank holiday weekend and could not believe how cheap our stay was. Food in the restaurant was very good as most hotel food leaves a lot to be desired but this was different and considering the restaurant was full, it is a credit to them. There was entertainment in the bar and it was okay and... more

Took the kids away for the weekend at the end of September and you can't beat this hotel for value but the big attraction is the swimming pool the kids love it and the staff in the leisure centre are very child friendly. Compliments to the hotel for being so child friendly with special children menus and the kids club.... more

Very modern - so modern that the bathroom is in the basement! The lobby has a bar, but no toilet? The main bar & restaurant have no toilets? The conference room for parties, weddings etc. has no toilet. You have to go down 2/3 flights of stairs to get to the bathroom no matter where you are in the hotel... more

The Good: leisure centre staff friendly, decent pool, good size room. The Bad: Receptionist, obviously not experienced, had to ask for basic information i.e. location of the dining room and leisure centre, not very clear on directions! Service extremely slow in the bar and dining room. Only one of the two lifts working (our room on third floor). Unsupervised kids... more

We, 2 adults and a child are just back today from a weekend in this hotel which, on the whole we enjoyed. Unfortunately our first impression once we entered our room on the third floor was one of dismay. The smell from the bathroom (equivelent to rotten cabbage) made us "GAG" Cleaners were sent up to rectify this and all... more
