Went up to Betty'stown for the nite with my family. After coming home that nite, the owner invaded our privacy by charging into the room in the middle of the nite, while a young child was staying wit us also she scared him also by her physocothic behaviour. We were charged 80 euro for the 1 room. The next morning... More

Booked a few weeks in advance to stay in the anchorage apartments which is owned by the same owner as the guest house. Booked in for 3 nights and phoned the day before to confirm. On arrival I was told by the owner that she had given my apartment to somebody else and then proceeded to say that we could... More

We booked a week in these apartments and called the day before to confirm. When we arrived the lady had given out appartment to someone else and didnt have one available to us . We had traveled a long way with small kids. The proprietor was rude and unhelpful. Taking a court case. ##### Do not book this accomodation ####

Should improve: cleanness and the Irish breakfast. Also the place inside is very messy. The gardens is very good. Even though I can recommend for the great location, along the beach and close to all amenities .

We stayed here after arriving unbooked late in the afternoon on a beautiful day which probably favourably coloured our view of this B&B. The location by the beach is its biggest asset and we loved walking along the beach while we waited for our room to be made up (at 6.00pm??). The place is chaotic, not overly clean, the owner... At the beginning I've made a reservation in Newgrange Lodge, but when we arrived they told us to come here, to have a more quiet place... They told us that it was the same owner. But for sur it wasn't, and I think that we have been scammed. The house was dirty, there were spider webs everywhere you look !... More

Terrible apartments, filthy dirty, owner is rude and takes no responsibility for problems or shows no interest in resolve or customer care. Apartments are not safe, loose floor boards on balcony, badly stained mattresses, broken oven, dishwasher that smoke came out of...the list could go on for days...stay away at all costs

On arrival at 4.30pm we were greeted by the not very pleasant owners husband who told us there would be nobody there to show us to our room for another hour. My elderly mother was tired and just wanted to relax. We had been out all day as when we booked were told by the owner on the phone not... More

We stayed in one of the rannoch apartments in bettystown. The location is perfect and the apartement looked really nice and was big and comfortable. But we had several problems during our stay. On the first day the heating and the warm water didn't work. It was too late in the evening to call the owner, so I called her... More

Sub standard cleanliness of rooms, ok breakfast, horrible proprietor, Basil Fawltyesque, would not recommend. Having said that Bettystown is lovely and a walk on the beach is a must. There is a cafe called Relish that is quite nice near the beach.
