Had dinner with friends here recently. Got the duck which was excellent and there were no complaints by anyone in relation to the food itself, however prices were on the high side. I have had similar meals in other restaurants at much lower prices. The service was excellent though.

Stopped in Leens hotel in Abbeyfeale for lunch when travelling between Galway and Kerry on 13th June. The menu was fine, not many gluten free or vegetarian options but we got sorted and food was tasty. Staff were efficient and very friendly. I would certainly stop off here again.

We had not planned well enough ahead and found ourselves with few options. This hotel is centrally placed in the village but is outdated and well overpriced. No lounge area and room very basic. My wife was surprised to hear noises in the shower room whilst using the shower! It seemed that we were sharing our shower room with the... More

Was at lens hotel New Year's Day night for a special birthday party, first time having dinner here. There were16 of us and the food was just fantastic with service to match, thoes fillet steaks were huge and tasty a meal on their own. Well done everyone and especially to Willian who looked after us all so well.

Stayed for one night in September 2014 - primarily based on its location to attend a social event. It is a small hotel and I knew what to expect. It served really good food at reasonable prices and the staff were lovely. I noticed many local people arrived in for dinner so I took that as a very good sign.... More

The rooms were not the best, but who travels to Europe to sit in a room!?!? The bed was comfy, the room clean. What more can you ask for? On the other hand the service was friendly and the restaurant was incredible! Best fish and chips we had on our trip!! Also the fried Brie... Wow!! Doubt I'll find myself... More

The room was tiny and had an awful damp smell. We left the window open for the day but that didn't help getting rid off it. Also the room was bit dated and the TV remote was nowhere to be found plus the duvet cover had a lil hole. Around 12 I heard a tap on the door and shortly... More

We visited here in October 2013 and found the food to be truly excellent. We decided to book a Christmas lunch meal for Christmas eve and was given a fantastic three course meal. The staff are friendly everytime and the food of the very best quality, will return here anytime!

We stopped at this hotel to eat lunch on the advice of a local on the street. It has a lovely atmosphere, with big wooden beams and a cozy feel in the bar area. We sat in front of a warm turf fire and ordered lunch. My seafood chowder (5.95 euros) was good, with lots of fish (no shellfish) and... More

Dear DeeDee Thank you for taking the time to submit your review of your experience in Leens Hotel. It really is great to hear such nice things about the bar. The entrance to the hotel from the car park at the rear, is worryingly bleak, but thankfully the friendliness of the staff allows you to soon forget it. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. The carpet in in hallways is badly in need of replacement. This is not an expensive hotel (slightly more than a local... More
