We had the double room. It was warm and cozy. Breakfast was just ok. Sadly we didn't get to see the northern lights though. But the nature surroundings were really beautiful, the frozen lake and mountains nearby was really breathtaking. We took the bus from Abisko to Narvik then to Tromso, gorgeous scenic ride.

Doing a bit of a northern lights tour and some other Lapland activities we were booked into this hotel for 3 nights without really knowing much about it. We arrived on the train and you don't see much until you go under the line and across the road and then there's this rather austere looking building. But....it really delivers for... More

I visited Abisko for the first time 2 years ago and have been in love with this place ever since. It's a magic place with stunning nature and lovely people, so I returned (again) late February 2015, this time together with my mother and we stayed at the hotel. Stepping out of the door at Abisko STF brings you immediately... More

Arrived on the train from Narvik, dragged the bags across the road to the reception and was happy to say that the staff were incredibly helpful, They upgraded our room as we were there for 3 days and nights. Nice, clean room with ensuite "wet room", no TV. This hotel is more "outdoorsy", so most occupants are hiking, skiing, dogsledding... More

The Turiststation hotel accommodation was fine. However on the night at the skystation our group of 4 was amongst a total of 24 guests for the night at the viewing. My daughters camera and case (a Canon D1100) vanished off our table. When we reported the theft to the 3 staff members there, they seemed disinterested, and would not turn... More

We spent 2 nights here in February 2015. We had a lovely room in the hotel, with views out over the mountains. We did not quite know what to expect from this tourist station but is surpassed our expectations. The main building where the hotel is has lots of space for sitting around and admiring the view. A fire burns... More

Get off the train at Abisko Touristation (one more stop from Abisko station). The hotel is on the opposite side of the track. To get there you must walk out to the carpark behind and walk through the tunnel. It's a short walk but it can be slippery especially with your luggage so do be careful. We liked the room.... More

Rooms were completely fine, they were actually better than the accommodation at the Icehotel and Camp Ripan. Clean with a decent bathroom, as with nearly all the swedish accommodation in the Arctic Circle the showers are open as per a wet room. Means the whole bathroom get's soaked, which is a bit of a pain. Apart from that it was... More

We found this location through Authentic Scandinavia. They also booked our evening at the Aurora Sky Station. I recommend that if you are going here, you book activities in advance because, while they are as helpful as possible at the front desk, this is basically a hostel with hotel rooms. We stayed one night. Pack as lightly as possible for... More

This youth hostel is fine but it is expensive for a youth hostel. The location is good. The bedroom was fine that I had in Keron part, bunk beds and couch and sink and had it alone so roomy for one. Normally rooms are cleaned in hostels before one goes in but this one had not been cleaned although hostellers... More
