I stayed for the FOOD. Ok I would have stayed anyway but it sounds better this way. My wife and I went in search of the Northern Lights and a bit of adventure outside of our comfort zone. This was the place. Dog sled trip with the most friendly dogs. You will want to take them home. Don't because they... More

The room is small but not too bad for couple. We stayed 3 nights but they didn't service our room or give us new towels at all. Some staff are quite helpful, helping us to book tours. One of them (maybe their manager?) was quite rude when we asked if she could help us to heat up our food. It... More

Abisko Mountain Lodge is everything you hope to find. We stayed in the new rooms situated separately from the main building. These are furnished in a modern style, which is both functional and very comfortable. In fact we had to turn the heating down it was so comfortable! The food has to be eaten to be believed. The self serve... More

My son and I spend 4 nights at this very comfortable lodge while hunting the elusive Aurora. The 2nd and third nights we were rewarded with the most spectacular display. More than we could ever of hoped for. Our room was very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for the very helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was... More

We stayed 4 nights at Abisko Mountain Lodge, arriving just after the start of the polar night in Swedish Lapland (11 December was the first day the sun did not breach the horizon, we arrived on the 12th). Abisko is a tiny village located about about 250km into the Arctic Circle, close to the border of Norway and within the... More

We have had a fabulous week here at the Abisko Mountain Lodge. The location is superb, with a variety of winter activities available from the door, and a short walk down to the lake where we have had spectacular views of the Northern Lights 2 nights in a row. The rooms are small, clean and functional, with a compact bathroom... More

We stayed here last year and on arrival parked our car near the electrical points (which you need to do to ensure you can heat up your cars engine should you want to go anywhere the next day). We'd booked a room but on arrival there had been an issue and were upgraded to a cabin instead. We thought this... More

Just returned from a wonderful 5 days at the Lodge. Mina and Dick have created a really great place in one of the most stunning places I have ever been. Yes, the rooms are small and you are often in separate single beds but you aren't there to sit in your room. This is a lodge for people who are... More

We stayed here as part of an excellent value package with Weekend a la carte to see the Northern Lights (white or pale green to the naked eye, you only get the bright greens in the photos.) Abisko Lodge is a hostel not a hotel and the rooms reflect this - small, clean, warm and comfortable but basic. There is... More

The rooms are decent and clean, heating not brilliant but good enough. Since there weren't much other choices for food, we ate here both nights and dinner was amazing both nights and the dining hall has great ambience. Breakfast buffet was nice as well. We went on the snowmobile ride (2 hours) and the snowshoe trekking tour. Snowmobile tour wasn't... More
