My friend and I have recently returned from a trip to Abisko we booked with The Autora Zone to try to see the Northern Lights - and we did - truly spectacularly! It was simply wonderful. The Lodge accommodation is very basic, and the room we were allocated was too small for two people; there's really nowhere to put anything... More

A brilliant hotel, fabulous food (3 course dinner every night), super activities and incredibly helpful and friendly staff and owners (Mick and Dina). Wonderful viewing of the northern lights 3 nights out of 4. Ice hotel is about an hour away and worth a visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay. SJ Adams

If you plan to visit the area for some northern lights viewing or taking part in activities up in the arctic circle then this is the place to stay! Such a friendly and welcoming place. The best parts are that you only have to walk about 100m up the hill to be in enough darkness to see the aurora, and... More

We booked through Weekend a la carte, spending 2 nights here. The pick up from the airport was there ready for us & the hour drive went quickly chatting to a very informative Patrik. We had a warming welcome on our arrival, straight to our small but perfectly functional room. We only slept & washed in there so didn't want/need... More

Just returned from a 5 night trip, booked with Weekend a la carte. 1 night Stockholm, 2 nights here and 2 nights in Kiruna. This is a great little hotel, rooms on the small size, but that is the norm for this area. Great location for trips and excursions, and handy for the trip up the mountain on chair lift... More

For £38 pp/night I'd say this hostel is just average. We booked a room for 3 people and expected three beds, but one of us had to sleep on the sofa. No Wifi connection on the night. The location was not too bad as it's just beside Abisko Touristation train station. The shower was good as it's indoor but I'd... More

With all the snow it felt like staying at a friend's house, so warm and cozy. The staff was wonderful and food delicious. Rooms are small but this seems like the norm in the area. Included breakfast is the best as no other real options are available in "town" in the morning.

We were in extreme bad luck in our trip. Got the arctic storms but not northern lights. The scheduled train we supposed to take for carrying on our journey was cancelled, roads to narvik were block, all uncertainties happen at a time. The staff here helped us to get a taxi to go back to Kiruna and then we can... More

We stayed here for 3 nights organised by Weekend ala carte. Pickup from Kiruna airport by hotel transport, basic minibus and 4x4 for journey of just over an hour. Normal rooms are very small, about 8 feet square, including the bathroom, just room for 2 single beds and a small shelving unit, nowhere to put suitcases other than on beds... More
