I stayed two nights here. The room is basic, just two beds and some racks. But the room was clean and warm, and enough natural light. There is no kettle and TV in the room. But there is free hot water, tea and coffee, etc provided in the restaurant and TV in the lobby, so you can still have your... More

We stayed at the Abisko mountain lodge for three nights at the end of March, we booked the aurora nights break with Wekend Al la carte. The minute we arrived and entered the reception / lounge/ bar area, we were made extremely welcome and settled in straight away. We stayed in room 20 it was a superior room very warm... More

Got here late on a Friday just after the spring equinox. This is a bare bones lodge filled with aurora hunting tourists - but its quiet and understated and warm. Good food but limited for vegetarians (which is understandable) but can accommodate for dinner with notice. My room as advertised was small with 2 beds...tight bathroom - but everything worked.... Stayed here for 6 nights and had the trip of a lifetime. Food was amazing, all the staff are so friendly and willing to help you you with anything. Arranged several activities through them at short notice. A great place to stay and enjoy all that happens around the Lodge.

I was only able to stay at this lodge for 4 nights as they were fully booked. I am SO SO Thankful that I was able to secure a reservation! While the rooms in the main hotel are quite basic, the rest of the hotel, the service and the food more than made up for it. The common areas are... More

I traveled to Abisko in northern Sweden in order to optimize my changes of seeing the Northern Lights. My trip was efficiently arranged by The Aurora Zone, and my accommodation was the Abisko Lodge. The lodge and it's rooms were small and modest but very warm and cozy. And the meals at the lodge were the most incredible meals I've... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our Northern Lights package arranged through Weekend a la Carte (UK based). We were with my mother helping her celebrate her 73rd birthday. We were allocated a room each in the main lodge corridor. Unfortunately our room was opposite the entrance to the reception/bar and got quite noisy at night on... More

We stayed at the Abisko Mountain Lodge for 5 days as part of an Arctic tour. The journey from the tree hotel in Harrad was a gruelling 9 hours due to trains having no power lines. Even though the restaurant should have been closed, they stayed open and gave us a warm welcome and an amazing meal. In fact every... More

We stayed here last weekend on a package booked through Weekend A La Carte. We stayed in a new Superior Room which was very comfortable and warm (and the weather was apparently unseasonably warm as well!). Breakfast lunch and dinner were all plentiful and good quality especially the dinner. Pleasantly surprised that their bar prices weren't too high either. The... More

I went to Abisko by taking the overnight train from Stockholm (about 18 hours) to see the Northern Lights. Most reviewers will tell you how spectacular they are to see, but I can't because I didn't see them at all. It was cloudy on the one night I stayed in Abisko. Bad luck on my part. The Abisko Mountain Lodge... More
