My wife and i recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary on Barefoot Island. We stayed for 7 nights and had an amazing time. Our Bure was on the sand, metres from the water's edge where we could watch the sunset over the ocean every evening. A short stroll to the sunrise side of the island in the morning rewarded us... I recently travelled to Barefoot Island with 7 Australian teenagers(16/17) and another mum, including my son. The reason we went to this island was because the kids were volunteering for a week in a couple of local schools with Vinaka Fiji for their Gold Duke of Edinburgh award, and this was our base for the week. We were greeted by... More

We mentioned to our first waitress that all gluten free food until then had been terrible (my friend I was travelling with is a coeliac), and they vowed to have the best GF food in Fiji. They did not disappoint! Food was fantastic and food preferences/allergies were easily catered for. Cocktails variety was good. Only downside to food is that... More

Of the 3 Yasawa islands we stayed at, we preferred the scenery at Barefoot Manta the most. It's not a large island but at any time/tide of the day there is a beach you can swim at. The snorkeling wasn't bad either. I also liked that there was a real relaxed feel to the island. Our bure (slept 5) was... More

My sister and I stayed at Barefoot for 2 nights as part of a trip up the Yasawas. Barefoot Manta definitely came joint top with Barefoot Kuata as my favourite island(s)!! We stayed in a beach front safari tent.. Amazing!! The location was perfect, and I loved the outdoor bathroom! Food was always delicious. The sunset area for dinner is... More

We have just returned from 8 days in the Yasawas and Barefoot Manta is by far the best island they have to offer! Thanks to the dive boys who took us out to see Manta Rays... It was the best experience. Special thanks to Paul for making sure we were alright and that we didn't miss them! We went on... More

Had the best time there we stayed in the luxury bure (don't know about the other accomodations) and it was just awesome. The food was great. And the staff took really good care of us ;) I wish we spent more time there. Would definitely go back

I travelled to Barefoot Manta Island with family members including two preschoolers. We stayed in tent-like Bures with the beach merely metres away. We had an ensuite with the shower open to nature and the coconut trees. We were able to watch the beautiful sunsets from the beach and enjoyed amazing meals at the restaurant. Each night the Chef came... More
