With some locals friends, we came to this place for a few days rest and beach time. Very nice beach, very correct housing. On the other side, the lady at the reception and the service at the restaurant (a guy called Jose Victor) were really unfriendly. Not even a smile and very dry to guests. During our trip to Nicaragua,... More

Quite possibly the best beach in Central America. A largely calm cove with so much life: a dry tropical forest, a cacophony of birds, reptiles, and if you're lucky you'll get to see either turtles coming in to lay their eggs or the release of newly hatched turtles (the park moves the nests to a an enclosure to protect them... We stayed as a couple in a bungalow. The room was spacious, with a television, air conditioner, open kitchen with a fridge, purified water, cooking range. There also was a small outdoor patio and a common outdoor wading pool. This would be perfect for a young family but we appreciated the conveniences! The beach is simply breathtaking - half mile... Dear guest, thanks for your review of Parque Maritimo el Coco. It is good news to read you were happy staying with us. I will talk to the chef at the restaurant to address your concern and try to resolve the problem of slowness as soon as possible. We usually has less than 30 guest during the day at the... More

Spent a day at Puesto del Sol at Parque Maritimo El Coco and what a find. Gorgeous beach setting with a pool and restaurant, free use if you patronize. Pool was refreshing and overlooks one of Nicaragua's best beaches. There are nice restrooms and even a gift shop!

We arrived without a booking and were given a range of options from $222 per night to $45 per night. We chose the $45 which was like a cupboard under the $222 room! The $222 room is simply not worth the dosh. Its ok but you deal with the same scabby paths and "gardens" as you do with the $45... More

I write this review from the perspective of having paid way too much per night ($350) in one of the Los Volcanes bungalows. At that price, my expectations become very high. This would have been considered a wonderful rustic beach accommodation, but instead we left wondering if it was worth it. Overall, the location and beach is what saved this... More

It's OK, old, dated. Had to ask them to provide a cover for the bed, air con dripped, screen was ripped. If we had known we would only go to Playa Coco with a house rental, not taken rooms through Parque Maritimo. Maybe other options they offer are better. We were in a Bungalow, which I definitely wouldn't return to.... More

Absolutely awesome. Turtle conservation on site. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, white sand, and very good waves. The beach is 2 kilometers away from playa la flor, which has mass nesting of Olive Ridley "paslama" turtle between July and December. Visiting Paseo Pacifico (turtle conservation) is an absolute must!

Our family enjoyed 2 nights at Casa Malinche at Parque Maritimo el Coco. Service was great. . .we had a number of emails prior to our visit that were always promptly answered. We tried to arrange a guided trip to see the turtles at Playa el Flor, but they convinced us that it would be much easier and cheaper to... More
