Spent a day at Puesto del Sol at Parque Maritimo El Coco and what a find. Gorgeous beach setting with a pool and restaurant, free use if you patronize. Pool was refreshing and overlooks one of Nicaragua's best beaches. There are nice restrooms and even a gift shop!

We arrived without a booking and were given a range of options from $222 per night to $45 per night. We chose the $45 which was like a cupboard under the $222 room! The $222 room is simply not worth the dosh. Its ok but you deal with the same scabby paths and "gardens" as you do with the $45... More

I write this review from the perspective of having paid way too much per night ($350) in one of the Los Volcanes bungalows. At that price, my expectations become very high. This would have been considered a wonderful rustic beach accommodation, but instead we left wondering if it was worth it. Overall, the location and beach is what saved this... More

It's OK, old, dated. Had to ask them to provide a cover for the bed, air con dripped, screen was ripped. If we had known we would only go to Playa Coco with a house rental, not taken rooms through Parque Maritimo. Maybe other options they offer are better. We were in a Bungalow, which I definitely wouldn't return to.... More

Absolutely awesome. Turtle conservation on site. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, white sand, and very good waves. The beach is 2 kilometers away from playa la flor, which has mass nesting of Olive Ridley "paslama" turtle between July and December. Visiting Paseo Pacifico (turtle conservation) is an absolute must!

Our family enjoyed 2 nights at Casa Malinche at Parque Maritimo el Coco. Service was great. . .we had a number of emails prior to our visit that were always promptly answered. We tried to arrange a guided trip to see the turtles at Playa el Flor, but they convinced us that it would be much easier and cheaper to... More

Had a wonderful one night stay at Parque Maritimo el Coco. The beach is paradise. The restaurant is very good. Stayed in the Casa Tortuga with a group of 10 (I would recommend 8 max). House was very nice with all the basic amenities. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The Coco beach is beautiful and there just few people, so you can really enjoy it. You can get there by your car or bus. The road from Juan is unpaved, but possible even with small car. The accommodation is possible just in one resort (or I didn't find more) and is very expensive. You can rent one bungalow for... More

We were looking for a relaxing, peaceful place to say around San Juan del Sur, and we certainly found it at Parque Maritimo el Coco. We stayed in Cangreo #3, one of three connected bungalows situated right on the beautiful beach. Our 4 year old loved being able to go out the door and find sand dollars, hermit crabs, and... More

Favorite location in southern Nicaragua, nice bungalow park, apt. los volcanes is very nice for couples or small family. Staff is friendly and correct, some personal touch could help to make the experience even more enjoyable. Some stuff in the appts need maintenance. Overall fine, and in july and august there are often discounts.
