We have revisited Ballyfin again. This Hotel is exceptional. The staff look after your every need and make it a stress free zone. The food is varied and of excellent quality beautifully presented and served. The grounds are extensive, well managed with plenty of places to explore or to engage in numerous activities. I highly recommend Ballyfin.

A truly wonderful place to stay. magnificent building, wonderful grounds and the service quite superb. So convenient as it is all inclusive, SO I THOUGHT. The rate includes all meals, and per-dinner drinks reception. When I received my final account, I was charged nearly two hundred Euros for champagne. I queried the bill and was told only one glass was... More

This was our fourth visit to Ballyfin and we are still enthralled by the place it's truly a very special place. This time we asked for a room in the new wing and whilst it cannot compare with the old rooms the difference is only marginl such is the attention to detail. Richard Kennan had departed but his replacement Oliver... More

This was our second visit to Ballyfin. Ballyfin is an incomparable place. I have stopped and started this review a few times. I cannot mine the words from my own vocabulary to accurately and justly transport you to Ballyfin. Having stayed in many truly great hotels in world-class cities and in equally special manor houses or castles in countryside locations,... More

I live in Ireland and have been fortunate enough to have known about and watched the restoration of Ballyfin over the years. A place this fabulous cannot be created without love and one senses that love, care, and attention are the absolute mainstay of the perfection of the place. From the conception to the reality: pure love and dedication! I... More

I traveled to Ballyfin with my husband and two teenage children this summer. We are a well-traveled family that has stayed in many extraordinary accommodations around the world. We had heard of Ballyfin's luxurious reputation from friends who had stayed there for an adult getaway. Nothing, however, prepared us for perhaps the most memorable family vacation of our lives. From... More

Absolute dream of a place. Second you cross the gated entrance at the bottom of the long winding drive, you are transported to another world of sheer luxury, elegance and more so attention to detail in every respect. The greeting party / concierge / valet immediately set the tone. You feel you are in a world of your own. Staff... More

Ballyfin transports you to another world. Such wonderful service, not at all snooty but warm and friendly, a real credit to Irish hospitality. The house (more like a palace) is worthy of all the superlatives that other reviewers have bestowed on it. Every room is a work of art, having been painstakingly restored with no expense spared. The grounds and... More

Surely one of the finest places to stay in the world. The house is exquisite, with every modern amenity seamlessly incorporated into one of the most beautiful country homes in Ireland. The grounds provide no end of wonders, from the Edwardian Rock garden to the fernery, the lake to the tower. The food can be considered sublime, without exaggeration. Ballyfin... More
