At the end of the Dalton hwy near the airport. We stopped here early one morning beginning of September Very cold outside all vehicles were left running even with the price of gas but inside it was the warmest place we have visited. They treated us like one of the workers Getting there was amazing all kinds of wildlife 0n... More

The Prudhoe Bay Hotel is really a man camp and not a hotel. It is a large modular complex that has no curb appeal. I was here on business and not vacation. It is a good place to stay just be prepared that it is not like other hotels in other places down south. My room was very basic with... More

When visiting the area- There are no restaurants, just camps. This was a great place across from the airport that a person could walk to-there are NO cabs either. The food was great also. A real deal up here in the Arctic. The travel agency was a savior. It did help us out when we really needed it.

We had reserved a room at Deadhorse camp several months before our trip, but anxiously checked for availability at the Prudhoe Bay Hotel because my wife was hoping to avoid a "bathroom down the hall" type of place. Fortunately, when we checked 7 days out (they hold rooms for the oil workers until a week out), we were able to... More

if you are looking for a nice and relaxing place - the Prudhoe Bay is not the hotel to go to. If you are looking for a unique experience it is just great. This is no tourist place but mostly build for the oilworkers and you have to adopt somehow to enjoy the stay. The hotel itself consists of large... More

I agree with the other reviewers that this is the best place to stay in Deadhorse. We originally booked at the Deadhorse Camp, but when we arrived and checked it out we were disappointed. It was all dorm style with bathrooms far away--very plain and not quite as clean as we would have liked. The food was expensive and seemed... More

I had a big adventure i May of 2014 and rode my motorcycle from LA to Deadhorse, AK. I checked accommodations for Deadhorse, AK...in the arctic and knew I would be limited where to stay. I read reviews about several accommodations and settled on Purdhoe Hotel. This is NOT an area of the world that has visitors in mind. Is... More

Traveling into Deadhorse to either bid jobs or perform them on a sporadic basis for years as a subcontractor, I have always found P.B.H to be consistent. Rooms are comfortable, environment is quiet and subdued, you can always find company or conversation in the chow hall or t.v. area. The food is quite good, plentiful and a varied. To be... More

The price per person for a room with bath en suite was $125 and included all meals which were varied and delicious. Deadhorse is like the oil field supply part of Bakersfield with snow! Not much of a town but such an amazing drive up there this was a great place to stay and we enjoyed the atmosphere. No liquor... More

We actually stayed here on our unusual honeymoon:-) We planned to stay only one night but stuck for four instead. The airstrip at Kaktovik was flooded so we needed to wait (the polar bears of Kaktovik are worth the wait...). The hotel is expensive as everything in Deadhorse but it is a real oases with amazing food, fridges filled with... More
