What a great hotel. We have just come home and feel already homesick, but we shall return next spring of course . I have written so many reviews here that I think James won't mind this time me skipping this rather repetitious task of praising his work and that of his wonderful staff. Thanks for everything, And you know that... More

My Fiancé and I spent 4 days in Finca Es Castell in September and absolutely loved it. I loved everything about it. - We were greeted by delightful Xavi who made us feel so welcome and relaxed the minute we arrived. - The location is amazing, hidden away in the Mallorcan countryside in the middle of the olive trees. -... When I booked this place through a recommendation, never in a million years did I think it would be this tiny valley getaway which is remote enough from the "outside" world. I arrived pretty late on Saturday eve and was traveling alone for the first night. Finding this place is an adventure for sure and I thank google maps and... More

We spent 3 days here in the middle of a trip to Mallorca. It was probably three of the most relaxing days we have ever had on a holiday as it is impossible not to relax in such beautiful, quiet and charming surroundings. Some of the communal areas in the Finca are stunning and its position with the mountains behind... More

If your idea of a great holiday is a bustling hotel with a large well used swimming pool, nightly entertainment and a beach location, then this delightful old Majorcan finca is definitely not for you. If, on the other hand you seek peace and quiet in unspoilt countryside in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains off the beaten track (almost... More

Writing this just prior to leaving for the airport with a very heavy heart. This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. It's incredibly peaceful, the views are breathtaking and the food every night has been fantastic. Xavier and all the team have been very friendly. Can't wait to come back!

The Finca is delightfully off the beaten track – but with James’ directions – easy to find; basically half way up a hill overlooking the wonderfully named Binibona. This a a great setting: still, surrounded by fields and a soaring mountain behind it has an air of peace and tranquillity that is captivating. This is not a lap of luxury... More

We found this little gem in Alastair Sawday and were not disappointed. Delightful rural finca hidden in the hills with unique bedrooms, service that was second to none and exquisite food. No need to travel for anything, but beaches only half an hour away if required. Would definately recommend.

Our first stay at a Finca and it will not be our last based on this wonderful place. There is a real sense of stepping back in time at this converted olive farmhouse but no expense has been spared in creating modern luxury. it is a little bit difficult to find but definitely worth it, just for the incredible setting... Three nights at Es Castell were like diving into another world. After grilling ourselves half a day at bays in the sun we were so keen to get back there to spend slow time at the panoramic terrace or at the cozy pool listening to the sheep-bells. You can stroll around and marvel at the amazing ancient olive trees or... More
