We arrived soaking wet having cycled quite a few miles. Gary was brilliant, helped us sort out our wet stuff and bikes, wasn't phased by us dripping all over his lovely home. He brought us a very welcome tray of tea, coffee and fantastic home made scones with jam. Great breakfast with homemade bread, he is a fantastic host. Great... More

Gary met us and welcomed us into his home and showed us to our room which was a nice size with a sitting area and a good en suite shower room including a full range of toiletries together with towels and flannels. After settling in we were offered tea and coffee in the lounge, with home made scones and jam.... More

It is driving distance from the city of Olban. Very clean, great breakfast, great host. He recommended a great hiking trail that gave us spectacular views. Walls were a little thin, but overall a very nice place.

Very nice b&b in a lovely area, Gary is a great host and makes a fantastic breakfast! Oban is a short drive away and there are plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep. Our room was very clean, bed extremely comfortable and there are lots of extras included making it that bit more special. Thanks again Gary and hopefully we'll... More

This neat, fastidiously clean B&B is like staying with your best friends. You will get to know the dogs, the chickens in the yard that supply breakfast and most of all Gary your friendly host. Afterall it's Gary's home and he will make you feel at home. Don't miss the walk down to the Loch across the street. Gary's breakfasts... More

We had an excellent two night stay at an struan, made to feel at home by Gary straight away, breakfast was superb fresh eggs and home made bread was a good start to the day. An struan makes a superb base from which to explore the area on foot or in the car

We definitely felt as if we were guests in someone's home. Whether you like this or not, it is up to you. It was very quiet, lovely birds out of the window, amazing breakfast. All in all, it was a nice stay. However, the walls were very thin. I was woken up by our neighbor snoring. And I am not... More

Stayed on Friday July 12th 2013 for one night. Nice spacious comfortable room and we were made very welcome by owner Gary. On arrival tea and coffee was supplied with cakes and biscuits in the garden (it was a lovely touch and a sunny day!) Breakfast was lovely with fresh eggs and home cooked bread. Just 7 miles north of... More

We stayed for one night as we moved north on our way to the Highlands. What a find! We hope to be back for a longer stay in future. We arrived about 4.00pm to be offered afternoon tea and cakes in the garden. Gary is an excellent host who works very hard to make sure your stay is as relaxing... More

Homely atmosphere deserving it's 4* rating. Gary, the owner pays every attention to detail and the ddogs add that extra welcome. Nice lounge in which to chat with other guests. Try the Lock Fyne kippers . A good stop over for ferries or exploring Argyll.
