We have recently returned from a week staying in Elliott cottage. The cottage was superb and the attention to detail fantastic. We made great use of all the extra facilities on site including the food store (which has an honesty box), the communal long room - which our two sons enjoyed playing in each day and the very useful laundry.... I booked the Ollerenshaw cottage along with breakfast hamper and immediately I had great service from Martin saying I had booked too much on the food front. From that moment on communication, service and quality was second to none! Cottage was beautiful and equipped with gear and items that I never even imagined I would need, but was immediately grateful... More

This was our second stay at Wheeldon Trees and it does not fail to please us. The owners not only provide excellent accommodation, but they are very welcoming, kind, and caring to meeting every need you can think of. The attention to detail within the cottages is excellent and the onsite facilities are really useful for anyone with any need... More

Just back from our seventh consecutive summer holiday! Wheeldon Trees really feels like home from home and the owners like friends. Sheldon Cottage offers great wheelchair accessible accommodation - everything is easy and comfortable. The set up suits all ages. We meet up with friends each year and have a combined age range from 2 to 72. Animals, armchairs, outings,... More

We recently stopped at Wheeldon Tree Farms in the Peak District (July 2015). It was an absolutely lovely holiday with both of our dogs settling in immediately. They have a wild flower meadow that is fenced in to let your dogs off for a play, and a dozen walks from their door. They include a guide of dog friendly pubs... More

Deborah and Martin are genuinely marvellous hosts who have always gone out of their way to give their cottage guests the best value. They have huge respect for the environment reflected in their attitude to recycling, heating and conservation. We always look forward avidly to our next visit.

Ideal location - never took more than 30 minutes to go anywhere of interest, be it Buxton, Matlock, Bakewell or Chatsworth. Lovely cottage - contained everything we needed for ourselves and our 3 year old. The morning animal feed was a highlight for our daughter - sheep, hens & rabbits! Deborah & Martin were very welcoming too. A great holiday... More

We absolutely loved our one night stop over here. Deborah and Martin are lovely people and wonderful hosts. The cottages have been restored and modernised to a very high standard indeed and are beautifully equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. My 2 and 5 year old boys were invited to join Deborah in feeding the animals -... More
