My partner booked this as a surprise weekend away and all I can say is he did good! A beautiful home with an amazing host. David brought us tea to bedroom in a morning, followed by an amazing breakfast. And honestly it is the best I've ever had! David was a lovely gentleman who's attention to detail was second to... Me and my girlfriend stumbled upon this place by accident really and I'm so happy we did because it was excellent. David the owner was extremely attentive bringing us coffee whenever we wanted and making an excellent breakfast all include din the very reasonable price. The rooms were furnished to a high standard and the b & b had a... More

Brilliant location for a two night stay in Hartington. Bedroom was lovely, bed was the most comfortable bed we had ever slept in! Breakfast was to a high standard and David was happy to make us coffee throughout the day. Very friendly (including Martha the resident moggie!) and would definitely stay again.

We stayed there for two nights a few weeks ago, and concur with the many positive comments made by other reviewers ... the accommodation was great, a bit quirky which made it even more enjoyable. Clean and entirely hospitable. As has been stated many times before, the breakfasts are amazing, catering as well for a vegetarian wife ! We were then... More

A last minute decision to stay B&B and oh boy are we glad we did. From the moment we set foot in the Parson's House and met David who showed us his wonderful home, we knew that our weekend break would be something special. You will find David to be one of the most attentive hosts anyone could ask for.... More

The Parsons House in Hartington is a very nice place to stay. We had one of the small rooms at the back of the house with separate bathroom facilities but nonetheless we had a comfortable night sleep in a clean room with a cosy bed and everything you would need. The icing on the cake however was the spectacularly delicious... More

Stayed at Parsons House for 1 night whilst in Hartington. The house is beautiful and the owners are friendly. The breakfast is amazing and quite possibly the best breakfast I have had in any hotel or b&b.

We have just returned from a long weekend staying at Parsons House. We don't normally stay at B&B's as they can feel a little like you're invading someone's home, but that wasn't the case here at all. David made us feel immediately at home, and we were welcomed to a truly beautiful house with a gorgeous double ensuite. David is... More

We spent last night in this B and B. The house has a lovely peaceful feel, with art on the walls and a friendly cat. We were welcomed with a hot tea and home baked goodies, much appreciated after our walk. Breakfast was the best porridge I have ever tasted (porridge sounds bad, but this was divine,) followed by a... More

We spent last weekend at Parson's House and can't recommend the B&B highly enough. We'd found the details on a Peak District website and booked the day before, having only managed to get a room due to a cancellation, but were delighted to find such a lovely place to say. David was very welcoming and friendly, and cooked a rather... More
