If what you are after is a down to earth country break, and not the glamour and glitz of the cities, them this is am ideal place to select to stay on a working farm. OK we agree that the place was different but it is definitely relaxing a Jane is a wonderful host. Breakfast was superb and set us... More

You'll either love or hate this place. Whatever, remember that this is a real working farm and that's what you're buying in to. Put up with a few things that are less than perfect, appreciate the on-farm experience. If you want sterile rooms and corporate hospitality then book into the Premier Inn, 10 miles down the road

Had read some negative reviews, but was pleasantly surprised! We were given the relaxing break as a wedding gift, and it really was relaxing! We were welcomed by a friendly host, and shown to a very cute room. The village is lovely and only a short walk away with great food at the Devonshire Arms. Breakfast at the BnB was... More

We used the Relaxing Break gift vouchers for this stay. After many phone calls & failed bookings, with the owner not bothering to confirm our eventual stay, we finally able to make a booking. Despite being in a beautiful location we were very disappointed with this B&B. Nobody was around on our arrival & a fellow guest had to show... More

Parking up by the farm's outbuildings afforded us the magical view of a starry sky completely absent of any light pollution and the warming sight of smoke spiralling from the three chimneys, a product of the three wood burning stoves we later discovered would keep us cosy during our stay. Jane was a marvellous host and made us feel most... More

We chose to stay here after we were bought a 'relaxing break in the country' gift. We arrived on the Saturday, no problems. Lady was there to greet us but we were told she was busy helping someone and rushed us upstairs to our room. We weren't shown where breakfast would be served, what time or check out time. We... More

Stayed overnight as we were going to the theatre in Buxton. On arrival we were made very welcome and shown through to a lovely sitting room with a real log fire where we were given tea and scone. Our bedroom was large with a lovely and very comfortable bed, central heating, small ensuite and tea and filter coffee making tray.... More

Stayed here for one night to use a gift voucher, had to wait 1 and a half hours for the host to show us to our rooms which definitely put a dampener on the visit. Aside from this the breakfast was very nice, the room was a bit dusty but the bed was very big and comfortable.
