Stayed for 2 nights. Very warm welcome. Beautiful house, lovely rooms - we stayed with our 2 children who loved it. The location is stunning - did a circular walk from the house. Breakfast provided gave us a wide choice of food. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Stayed just one night in Hayloft 2 and so wanted to stay longer.Lovely room and very quiet, we were the only people staying though. Breakfast in the old part of the farmhouse was a delight. Looking forward to returning soon for a longer stay and to explore more of the area.

This beautifully furnished old farm house (parts date back to the original manor & the 1400's) is well worthy of its 100% 5 rating. Gilly & Simon Groom have the most delightful home & are extremely welcoming. The farm is environmentally sensitive & supportive of local trade & produce & the family are involved in the local area). The accommodation... More

You couldn't ask for more from a B&B. Welcoming host and hostess, fresh milk for tea etc. if you wanted, spacious room with comfy beds and easy chairs and one of the best cooked breakfasts I have had in a long time with an almost endless variety to choose from. Breakfast is a friendly affair with guests sharing one of... More

Gilly and Simon are great hosts and make you feel very welcome in their wonderful old farmhouse. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the breakfasts choice is excellent and superbly cooked food! The location is excellent for walking or cycling as well as visiting local places of interest.

Manor Farm B&B deserves the accolades that others have posted. It is hard to know what to add. Gracious hosts, scenic (and historic) location, lovely accommodation - all in all a quiet refuge, as a break from the touristy bits near by or for a quiet interlude on its own. Gilly went out of her way to make us feel... More

We were fortunate to stay at Manor Farmhouse. Gilly is a friendly host who made us feel most welcome. We stayed in a Hayloft room and it was furnished beautifully with plenty of space and a pretty outlook over the garden. The bathroom was lovely with an excellent shower. On arrival we were served caked and tea sitting outside in... More

So close to the more tourist centric spots such as Matlock Bath, Chatsworth etc this is a little gem in a quiet and scenic part of Derbyshire. Wonderfully rural but far from basic. Gilly and Simon are very down to earth - friendly, incredibly helpful but never intrusive. Great breakfast. Perfect spot for walking or touring the tourist sights of... More

My wife and I decided to take a short break at short notice. Well we certainly hit the jackpot here! A warm welcome from Gill with hot tea and soft cake awaited us. The room was lovely and had everything one could need. The house reeks of history yet has every modern convenience. The views are lovely and the peace... More

On arrival we were greeted at our car by Gilly who gave us a warm welcome. We were taken to a lovely room (Hayloft 2) which had everything we would want and more. The decor and furnishing were very tasteful and in keeping with the building. We were offered tea and lovely homemade cake. The shower was one of the... More
