This hotel is situated very close to MIT and TAPMI Manipal. The rooms are basic but clean. Good to stay for couple of nights. Situated in the main market so lot food options available nearby. I recommend it for location and cleanliness

A typical hotel in a small town. in India Is just manageable as long as there are no expectations. Room is good enough for sleeping and spending the night. Used it to stay during counselling in MIT which is just across. Did not eat here, had tea which was from a machine.

We went for counselling at MIT on 10th june'14.The proximity of hotel to the counselling venue is plus pt. Food in the restaurant is just Ok.Price reasonable. We were in double A/c room.Of course not like a luxury hotel but just so so.Power prob is there and there is a timer after which the a/c starts which is very irritating. But... More

We had booked two rooms in this hotel for three days. It's a basic hotel with minimum security. On the second day Rs. 8000 cash was stolen from one of our rooms. We spoke to the management and they were adamant saying that it wasn't possible. Moreover, the manager was very very rude to all of us. We took this... More

For a place like manipal which offer limited options, this is one of the better places to stay. The room tariffs are pretty decent. their newly constructed duplex suite rooms are absolute pleasure to stay at. The rooms are amply spacious and the hotel is easily accessible. Although they have a restaurant attached, its not the one I would suggest... More

I have stayed twice in this hotel, as my son is a student of MIT. Its a good option, as it has reasonable tariffs, and is easily accessible for MU students and their parents. Room service is slowww, and meals are insipid, but there is no option for proper meals nearby, especially breakfast, so one has to depend on the... More

My son studies at Manipal and I am frequent traveller to Manipal. I have stayed at Ashlesh three times and each time the experience has gone from bad to worst. The rooms are big and ancient, poorly maintained with slow and limited room service. You might get a key to the room or you would have to share it with... More

The rates are very cheap. Btw, there are not many hotel in Manipal. Ashlesh is quite close to MIT & KMC. Though, there are many good hotels in Udupi, you are left with few options in Manipal. Excluding Valley View, which is probably a 3* hotel, all others are A grade restaurants. Rates vary from 500 to 1500. Rooms are... More

Spent 3 days in Ashlesh. Took an AC room for 1250 per day which is costly if you are in Manipal. The room was okay and the bathroom was average. The AC not very effective and the in house food way costlier than normal manipal food.

If one needs decent rooms which are reasonably clen then choose ashlesh. Manipal has only one good hotel and that is the fortune hotel but it is expensive. Ashlesh on the other hand if you need their most expensive room is around 2500.it has sad furniture, bathroom which looks wet all the time as the floooring and fixtures are nothing great,flush...
