Every time when i am in Italy for business i stayed in Villa la Grotta; an old fantastic villa in the heart of Tuscany. A good mix of business and pleasure! The administrators of the hotel are friendly, helpful, and you can make agreements with them! Highly recommended! Very special place!

Villa La Grotta was perfect. Location was great for day trips we visited sienna, florence , san gimignano, cortona& arezzo. A car is a must to be able to get around but be beware of Italian drivers if you don't keep up. We went through travelzoo for this villa no problems with anything would book with them again. We stayed here for three nights on our tour of Tuscany. The villa is in a great setting, the pool was closed when we were here, but it looked nice. We stayed on the third floor which keeps you fit. The room was quite dated but it added to the charm of the building and was comfy enough. There are... More

I have been staying in the Villa la Grotta during my trip around Tuscany. Elegant wrought-iron gates revealed a pale-pink estate surrounded by lush gardens and an intimate pool area. Relaxing and really charming typical Tuscany surroundings. The room was just huge. I think it has to be 100 sq. as minimum. Floor-to-ceiling windows opened to endless views of the... More

Lucky to find this gem in Tuscany, booking at the last minute. Eleven days enabled us to take in all that this glorious area has to offer - within easy driving distance of Florence, Pisa, Arezzo and other beautiful towns, around which our host Luigi planned an itinerary for us. It was a perfect stay. Our large attic bedroom was... More

We had the perfect stay here but it was only 2 nights. Vlad and Simone were the perfect hosts; wonderful breakfasts, great map drawing skills and perfect at helping plan our days in the most beautiful surrounding areas. The dinner we had in a neighboring towns was one of the best in all our time in Italy. The character of... More

We found this lovely villa through Travelzoo and what a great find it was! We booked the two large suites, Michelangelo and Leonardo rooms and the combination gave us a large kitchen in which to cook dinner and a lovely terrace to dine outdoors. Each morning we had a lovely breakfast complete with freshly made steaming hot cappuccino - a... More

We stayed for only the 1-night however were more than happy with the Villa la Grotta. It is easy to find as once you arrive in San Guistino Valdarno, there are signs showing the way. Simone (loves drawing maps) was extremely helpful and very friendly. Always smiling and nothing too much trouble. We had one of the rooms on the... More

We wanted a quiet place to relax. Booked through Voyage Prive we were not disappointed. Location was a challenge to find without GPS but we did it. We were met with a very warm welcome. The room we had was the width of the building on the top floor overlooking the pool and the view beyond. All well kept and well... More
