We had an amazing holiday based in Villa La Grotta. It is in an perfect location to visit Florence, Sienna and the Tuscan countryside. There are some great local restaurants, but you will need a car for most of them. The staff could not have been more helpful.

Unique location, in the middle of the quiet, the villa mantains the charm of the manor house where you feel at home, in a gorgeous home. Besides, the rooms are very cosy, large and bright, with the kitchen and even the fireplace. The elegant and familiar atmosphere and the sensation of well-being can be felt also thanks to the kind... Despite a couple of initial doubts about the rural location and the complete silence around the pool, we soon fell under the spell of this lovely place. The villa is traditionally furnished and very comfortable. The only thing lacking was a balcony although we had big windows that could be opened wide and overlooked a wooded area behind the villa,... We booked for our 25th wedding anniversary and from the second we arrived at the villa we knew we were not going to be disappointed. Beautiful surroundings and garden, the villa looks majestic set on the side of the valley. A warm welcome from Simone and some very welcome meat cheese and bread with a bottle of local white wine... Villa La Grotta exceeded my expectations, what a wonderful surprise. The hotel manager Vlad and Simona went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Always recommending great places to have dinner. We had the Leonardi Divinci room with a terrace which overlooked the pool and yard. Our view of the Tuscan landscape was so beautiful. Breakfast was very... More

A week based at this charming hotel in the Arno Valley just north of Arezzo provided an ideal base for exploring the beautiful wooded hills on the east side of the Val D'Arno. The hotel is run by extremely efficient and customer friendly staff who service the large bedroom suites and provide a lovely breakfast. The gardens and pool are... More

We booked this through Secret Escapes and the villa was a great base for our four night stay. We had a larger room with a kitchenette, with separate living and sleeping areas. The villa is in a very quiet spot but easy to get to and near the A1 which takes you to all of the hotspots. We didn't go... More

Wonderful villa and even more wonderful staff and owner! We booked this not knowing a thing about tuscany or Italy all the way from the Canadian west coast (Chilliwack bc). It was excellent!! Wonderful staff, great breakfast, nice pool and deck, excellent overall villa. Security and privacy where great and it totally felt like small town Italy. The staff is... More

We booked a short break through Secret Escapes and stayed at the wonderful Villa La Grotta. We stayed in the da vinci room...had a fantastic view of the pool, gardens and surrounding hills. From the moment we arrived, the hotel manager Vlad and Simone were great. Some great humour and lovely hosts, they made us feel welcome and were helpful... More

Just so it is clear, this could either be a 2 or 3 rating. It wasn't an unmitigated disaster but there were some very odd and disappointing features to this place. Firstly it is very far from anything and I pretty much mean anything. It's about 8 miles from the motorway. This isn't necessarily a problem if you have all... More

Set in the heart of Tuscany, along the wine road which leads to Arezzo, in perfect harmony with the surrounding countryside of vineyards, olive groves, ancient hamlets and churches, Villa La Grotta is a typical Tuscan manor house dated late-700, perfectly restored and opened to welcome guests, who wish to taste the genuine hospitality of our territory.
