Lovely hotel ,great location, good views, especially at front of the hotel. Lovely pool, good breakfasts ,meats ,cheeses, bread, fruit etc Lovely views from some bedrooms, our shower was not great, but staff extremely helpful. Lovely staff and very helpful owner. Great location for visiting Pisa, Florence, Siena,Arrezzo and many other hill top towns. Great restaurants close by.

A beautiful place to stay set in glorious countryside. A five night break with wine tasting opportunities. Helpful staff, nicely appointed rooms and a pool in the garden. As with others we found the lack of local places to eat within walking distance a disappointment. As we wanted to share a bottle of wine the idea of narrow mountainous roads... More

Just returned from a five night break at this hotel. The situation was wonderful from a scenery point of view and the hotel itself is both attractive and the rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful. The one drawback is the lack of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel as we were... More

Wow...we had a fantastic first visit to Tuscany which was exemplified by our stay at the superb renovated truly Tuscan hotel. The staff were amazing, so friendly and accommodating arranging the wine & cheese tasting which was excellent. First class all round!

We have just returned from a 3 day stay at Villa La Grotta, and had a very enjoyable weekend. The villa is set in the amazing Tuscany countryside and the views from some of the rooms are spectacular. The rooms are very large and well equipped. The staff are fluent in many languages and could not have been more helpful... More

Villa la Grotta is a lovely converted villa, the rooms and suites are enormous and charmingly decorated. The grounds are delightful with a well kept swimming pool. The hosts are very attentive and speak good English which helped to make our stay there a really good experience. There are plenty of places to visit in the area and some lovely... More

My partner and I returned from a long weekend at Villa La Grotta last night. We booked this little break through Secret Escapes back in February of this year. I must say, Villa La Grotta is such a beautiful villa with the most amazing views! We originally booked a smaller room as part of the deal through Secret Escapres but... More

I booked a Villa La Grotta through Secret Escapes. I and my son had got a spacious and cosy room. An interior was very simple, reflecting an authentic Tuscan style. We could see the pieces of art on the villa's walls, each of them had it's own number. They were all for sale. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Every... More

The Villa la Grotta was the hotel booked through the Secret Escapes wine tour, and it was lovely and also disappointing in equal measure. Vlad and Simone were warm and welcoming, the setting was beautiful and the breakfast was fresh and enough to set us up for the day. My favourite part was the artisan cheese tour that they organised... More

My boyfriend and I have just returned from 5 nights at Villa La Grotta. It was such a wonderful trip, we were very sad to leave. Villa La Grotta is beautiful, the building is magnificent with high ceilings, wooden beams and antique paintings. The breakfast room is charming and they have a lovely selection of croissants, pastries, cheese, ham, Italian... More
