We stayed at the Gagudju Crocodile for 2 nights in May 2009 and used it as a base for a 3 day exploration of Kadadu. It was a very comfortable hotel and the staff could not have been more helpful. The lobby is quite impressive with Aboriginal art and crocodiles (not live ones) strategically placed, and the rooms are comfortable... more

Very nice hotel rooms, like I would expect from a Holiday Inn in Australia. Everything was great. The lobby was really spectacular. It doesn't look that great from the outside and it doesn't have lifts to the second floor which is annoying with suitcases, but I guess it's like that architecturally to make the croc. I don't think it's overpriced... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in a good size, clean and comfortable standard room. Good restaurant, nice pool. Would recommend this hotel for your stay in Kakadu. more

Okay folks, let's face it: The Northern Territory has fantastic natural features on offer, but: The hotel prices are a shame. This hotel was like your average motel in the rest of Australia or in the U.S., except for it's croc-like shape. But the room was pretty much average and it obviously hadn't been cleaned thoroughly, for a while. I... more

My partner and I had wanted to visit Kakadu for years and finally got the chance so wanted to spend a decent amount of time there. On arrival, we were met by a fabulous foyer which doubled as the croc’s mouth as well as an indigenous art gallery that continued into another annex and through the walkway to our room.... more

Booked through wotif.com and cost a whopping 360 dollars per night! The room was lovely and room service was excellent. The pool was really nice too but had had lot of screaming kids and old couples there. The main downside was the restaurant was pretty poor really. We were pretty much thrown out at 9.30pm by being stared at by... more

It's hard to appreciate it fully from the land, but this place really is shapped like a giant crocodile. When you enter its mouth into the reception, you will notice a lovely art gallery to the left, which showcases some fine Aboriginal and Australian pieces. Further down (perhaps in the neck) you will find the restaurant. While it is pretty... more

Dear Guest, It is great to hear that you really enjoyed your stay at the Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn and the unique shape of this iconic hotel. I really enjoy the foyer and the art gallery also, the art work is unique to the region and really highlights the living culture of Kakadu. The recent refurbishments have had a great...

This is a 'fun' hotel in the shape of a crocodile and my children loved it. The pool was good, and we had a new nice that overlooked it. The food is ok for vegetarians (but there is really only one item on the menu (lunch and dinner!)). We saw a wild dingo in the car park! The location is... more

We stayed here for 1 night for our 2 day visit to Kakadu. I concur with the comments of the previous poster, but you must keep in mind that you are in the middle of nowhere, and there really arn't a lot of choices to be had in regard to hotels. We had the problem of our room not being... more

My partner and I decided to have a night away in this hotel and visit some of the sites of Kakadu that we had not yet seen. And to tell you the truth we were quite disappointed with what we got compared with what we paid. The foyer was lovely and very attractive but i felt it was only to... more
