The Caravan Park at Cooinda provides an excellent low-cost alternative to the lodge. The facilities are fantastic. Amenities well preserved. The location is central to all Kakadu has to offer. Family friendly was paramount to us, and we were not disappointed in any way. The caravan park sites were large and grassy - important in the red dust of the... More

We extended our stay to 5 nights- really spacious caravan sites, nicely treed, you pick your own space so can be as close or far away from others as you want from others. There are small toilet/shower blocks dotted around(they could be bigger- the only reason I didn't rank this higher) we based ourselves in Jabiru which has a good... More

Thank you for choosing to stay at Kakadu Lodge. We are pleased that you found our park delightful. Kakadu is a very large park (22,000 sq km) so driving is one of those things that you need to enjoy when visiting. There are a number of camping options to the south end of the park, but we believe we are... More

Went to this caravan site to spend a couple of nights and ended up staying 9 nights. From the moment we arrived, Peter was the type of guy with lots of local knowledge to assist with anything. The site was large and grassed, and felt private because of the hedged walkway next to us. The amenities, were always very clean,... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this park. It was an ideal place to base ourselves while exploring Kakadu. Our powered caravan site was large, shady and conveniently close to the well maintained amenities. Staff also very helpful.

Always try to spend a few nights here when visiting Kakadu. Whether you're camping, swag, tents, caravan or wants huts the place caters for all. Powered and unpowered sites. Excellent value. Good showers and bathrooms. Do a good feed and drinks at the bar. Pool also nice. Whole place is set up really well.

This is a well laid out, tidy and inviting park. The pool and bistro area was really nice and well kept. We stayed in a lodge room with shared bathroom. The room was clean, roomy and had a full sized fridge. The area was lovely and quiet and the amenities were right next to the room. The bathroom was clean,... More

Our family of five really enjoyed our week long stay in a cabin here. Yes, it's small but it has everything you need to cook yourself and we also enjoyed meals at the bistro by the pool, probably a bit more expensive than you would pay in a city but you are pretty much in the middle of nowhere!
