Loved IT! From the minute we arrived, our hostess was super friendly. The grounds are beautiful and the common area is warm and cozy, very welcoming. The rooms are clean and basic and our bathroom was separate and next door which I generally don't like, in this case I didn't mind at all. The main house has a great living... More

Immaculate rooms, huge beautiful clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, lovely surroundings, great atmosphere very conducive to people chatting together. Immaculately clean kitchen . Everything seems brand new and very clean . Great laundry facilities too. As far as backpackers or even hotel visitors go....... Absolutely luxurious and worth the extra cost. Highly recommend. Run by Liz and Chris who are delightful... More

A very peacefull spot. We booked a double room with ensuit, and got a very big and comfortable one. The place is like a small "Kibbutz" for Israelies. Well Equipped and clean kitchen. We had a hard time saying goodbye to the lovely hostess - Roz, with wich we had a very interesting evening talk about New Zealand.

Our group of six bikepackers spent two nights here bookending a sea kayak trip to Abel Tasman. All I can say is WOW. We bikepacked all over the South Island of New Zealand and this place was a true gem. The proprietors seem to have studied on ways to make the place comfortable and are so friendly and helpful. The... More

After staying at Eden's Edge no other backpackers will ever compare. Liz and Chris are incredibly kind, helpful, knowledgeable and keep Eden's Edge looking like The Garden of Eden. If you are planning a visit to the Abel Tasman area I highly recommend to stay here! Will hopefully be back next year!!

A luxery accomodation relativley new located out of town center of Motueka in a more rural area. The room was wide and comfort , so was the longue with the library .The owners ( a couple ) were very helpfull in answering my questions about attractions around. The guest were from all ages. I liked this place very much. One... More

The location well out of Motueka makes it necessary to have a car, but if you do that isn’t a problem (actually closer to Abel Tasman), and the location is quiet and fairly picturesque. They have put some work into the yard, there is plenty of parking, the lounge is filled with big comfortable couches, the outside terraces are very... More

Staying in Motueka wasn’t originally on the itinerary I created for my travel mates and myself, so it’s funny we actually spent more time there than in any other part of NZ at this stage. While the Eden’s Edge doesn’t lie within the town but a bit outside (a car comes in handy, but pick-ups by the owner should be... More

Charming, comfortable, friendly, clean, rustic, relaxing... strongly recommended! The fact that it's approximately 5km from the town is not a disadvantage: it means it's in the countryside and only determined travellers will get there... no noisy backpackers!!! Fully equipped kitchen, tv room and communal area. They have a bbq, swimming pool (not ready in November), picnic tables, bikes, etc. Our... More
