This was a great place for our two day-trips to Abel Tasman Park (about 20 minutes drive). Grocery stores and restaurants were very close in Motueka. Plenty of parking near the cottage. It's connected to the owner's house and they were out of town when we visited. Their house-sitter was very nice and quiet. We loved the beautiful gardens and... More

We arrived at Rowan Cottage after 4 days of fairly relentless travelling up the west coast of South Island and immediately settled in after a warm welcome from Renee and Trish. They made us feel very much at home and we felt relaxed straight away. The Garden room was self contained and as the weather was good while we were... More

Renee our hostess made us feel very welcome in our annexe which contained a bedroom with dining table and chairs, fridge and microwave, and en suite bathroom. Breakfast is served in the room, which means you can get up when you feel like it. You can eat at the dining table overlooking the charming garden, or weather permitting in the... More

My husband and I stayed at Rowan Cottage for 3 nights during our tour of New Zealand. It was a superb base to explore the Abel Tasman National Park. It is also only a 5 minute walk away from the bars and restaurants and a 10 minute walk from the coast. The litte self contained cottage was perfect with ,... More

The room was excellent, the garden beautiful, and the breakfast a great start into the day. The tranquility of Rowan Cottage will be a lasting memory from our trip to New Zealand. The garden room was well appointed and furnished to a high standard, the continental breakfasts provided were an excellent start to the day. The facilities included the use of a bar-b-que which we were able to make use of even in April. First rate... More

My husband and I stayed here two nights while kayaking and hiking in Abel Tasman Park. This B&B is absolutely heavenly. The rooms and gardens are beautiful and the breakfast is garden fresh and delicious. The woodworking details in the cabin are wonderful. The hot tub/spa was perfect after a long day of hiking and kayaking. We also loved the... More

We stayed for 3 nights in Motueka and Rowan COttage was absolutley wonderful. We had the larger of the rooms they offer, which comes with a little inside kitchen, beautiful big bed, sofas, table and a lovely ensuite. However it is the outdoor area which is so wonderful here - a private deck with a free-pour jacuzi bath (which we... More

The accommodation consists of a studio separate from the main building - very comfortable, beautifully decorated and comes complete with jacuzzi outside on the patio. There is another unit but this does not have the bath. Great breakfasts and lovely, welcoming hosts.Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a nice 3-night stay in the studio unit. It was beautifully decorated, set in a sunny garden, and had an outdoor spa bath on a private deck. Trish and Renee were very friendly and offered advice on things to do in the area. Moteuka turned out to be a great 'base' location for exploring Abel Tasman, Kiateriteri Beach,... More
