We have stayed here 3 years in a row but this time when we purchased a grab one deal ,they booked us into the 2 bedroom family units on the left hand side of the hotel. These rooms are a little tired but the views are amazing .Walk out your door onto the grass and straight onto the beach:$279 for Three-Nights... There were so many disappointments, i don't even know where to start. First: the dining experience. Overall very expensive for a standard quality. But here's worst: there was a dead fly in our food!! And the staff did not offer any sort of compensation! Just a "Sorry" from the waiter and that's it. Second: the accommodation. The bathroom door had... More

I recently stayed in this hotel, the position is beautiful and looked promising. However when we were shown to our 2 bedroomed unit we found it didn't live up to our expectations. The beds were uncomfortable, there was a broken lock on the only shared bathroom, curtains needed hooks as they were hanging off the rails. Lighting was dim. No... More

This hotel is set on the Hokianga Harbour and is well appointed. The restaurant has a lovely selection of well presented food. The units are well appointed and the bar has a lovely view over the pool area and out to sea

I have read other reviews and agree on a few points. The location is stunning and the hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. We had booked the 2 bedroom suite with its stunning deck straight onto the lawns overlooking the beach. That was the end of the good bit. On our entry into the room we were greeted by curtains... Kia ora Worldwise 1234 Thank you for staying with us and for the review. There are a number of things , we can fix, quite quickly and there are other things that are part of our maintenance program, which will also be addressed. The art work has just gone into our rooms. It has been loaned to us by local... More

Our apartment was fully self contained. Could have possibly done with more serving dishes but a small price to pay for the fantastic view and beautiful apartment. The furniture and crockery were very good quality. The bed had an electric blanket which I am always pleased about and the bed and linen were excellent. We just loved the deck and... More

This is a great location, nice enough accommodation, excellent staff but you need to address the food. This hotel is located on the edge of a harbour full of fish but the only fresh fish on the menu was Salmon (South Island I presume),the steak was supermarket quality served with frozen chips and any breakfast buffet that serves those disgusting triangular hash... Apart from the absolutely gorgeous location (magnificent sunsets & sunrises over the Hokianga Harbour), the resort itself was staffed by friendly & accommodating people. My room, in the older cabins was comfortable, clean & tidy. We enjoyed delicious food in the restaurant - nothing like enjoying a glass of wine on a warm night overlooking the two heads to the... This place has the location for sure. The view is absolutely beautiful. But the design of the curtain and sliding door meant that we could not enjoy the view after 1pm, else the sun in the room (room 8) made it all so hot - the rooms face west - the harbour. We had to make sure we were not... More
