We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel in great location. The room facing the sea was nice and neat. The highlight however was the owner of this hotel. He is a very friendly and helpful guy. If you want to rent a motorbike, ask him. Also if you stay in Catba eat at Green Mango. We really liked the... More

It was a veey great stay. When we dropped off the bus the staff from this hotel showed us the room on pictures and one room was just 9$ - that's 3$ per person. We also booked a tour with the hotel and our guide worked for the hotel. The tour was one of the best things we did in... More

We stayed three nights in this hotel. Prices depent on the season. In low season we paid only 6 dollars per night. We were surprised by the room; very spacious, with balcony (shared one) and the best shower and also view we have had in Vietnam! Hotel is in front of the pier, so you have a view over the... More

We were here in the off season and rates were really cheap. If you can get a front room with a view of the harbor, pretty spectacular. Room is clean and comfortable, pretty big as well. Hotel is relaxed. The owner was extremely nice and not pushy compared to other places we checked out. We rented a motor scooter from... More

Amazing time. The hotel has a perfect location overlooking the harbour and is directly opposite a big stage. On New Years eve I was able to watch some traditional Vietnamese dancing from the balcony. When it finished around 10pm the later bars are only a 2 minute walk away. The tour guide San was exceptionally helpful and really made the... More

We stayed at the Vien dong hotel for a total of three night, great price ($10 per night for 2 of us), room was clean. Bathrooms a bit dated and hot water ran out quickly but at that price we could live with it. The hotel booked us a 2 day, 1 night boat tour, and we joined the boat... More

We (3 couples) spent there 2 nights. I really loved the location - we all lived in spacious rooms overlooking the harbour. Everything was quite plain but clean, and the manager was very friendly and helpful. And what's great - they have an elevator (good news for those living on the last floor :)

We stayed at Vien Dong for 3 nights in November 2012. As we had not booked ahead, we stayed the first night in a room overlooking the side street and asked to be moved to a room overlooking the harbour for the next two nights where there was a balcony and a great view. We paid $10 per night (this... More

We came to Cat Ba as backpackers therefore not looking for a 5 star resort. For $10 (off season) a night this place was great. We had a room overlooking the harbour with a/c and tv. Bathroom is a simple wet room but all works well. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. As far as tours... More

I stayed here with 5 friends in April 2012 whilst backpacking through south east Asia. Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel. We paid $15 per night for a room for 2, which was very reasonable. The rooms are spacious, clean and all have a good TV, air conditioning and a fan. The bathrooms are basically a wet room... More
