I stayed at Le Pont hotel for 3 nights during my stay on Cat Ba Island. The hotel is very well located. The front desk person during the day speaks English, and at night there is always a lady there (Vietnamese speaker), but she is always willing to call the person who speaks English if you have an issue. The... More

My Fiance and I stayed in Le Pont for three nights in September, 2013. We stayed in a private room ($11/night), which was large with clean towels. The first room we went to had a problem with the airconditioning unit, but we got switched to a new room to get the problem sorted out. It is true that the women... More

I visited Ca Ba Island the first time last fall. A storm made it impossible to go outside to grab dinner. The friendly and helpful stuff made noodles and vegetables for the guests and helped out in the period without electricity. I stayed in the 14 bed dorm, which was occupied by me and 3 other people, so we had... More

Room had mold, towels were dirty, bedsheets had brown stains. Worst service of our three month trip so far. We saw the dorms which were as awful as everyone says and opted for a private for an extra $2, only benefit was privacy. You can find much better hotels for the same price or cheaper

The staff didn't really seem to care a jot about you, when we arrived we had pre-booked a night in the dorm and they didn't even seem to know we were coming! The people we were staying in the room with had the same view as we had all asked the same question..whether they had rooms available for the next... More

We came here after staying at cat ba hostel and were really disappointed. No one at reception. They want you to leave your key behind the desk but no one is there to give it back to you. We often just grabbed ours. An older guy that didn't speak English watched us wait over 30 min for someone to come... More

We booked the dorm room because of the positive reviews on tripadvisor - was the biggest mistake we ever had! The lady in reception was not helpful upon check in just wanted to show us up to the dorm and that was it. We were told to pick a free bed and she'd give us a locker key. Firstly we... More

We stayed 2 nights: one in the dorm and one in a private room. Staff hardly spoke any English. The dorm room only had one shower and sink for 14 people. The bathroom was old, badly maintained had no lock and was dirty!! The dorm itself is hot despite airconditoning. The beds had sand in them and small bugs!!! We... More

Le Pont was fantastic! Receptionist was really helpful and the staff were all very nice. Best deal on the island for what you get. Very trustworthy hotel. Room was spacious, comfortable, well-kept, and clean. Location is great - near good food, one of the main supermarkets, and not far from the water. Jim, the manager is a great guy and... More
