Lovely atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and the food we had was beautiful. We'll worth a visit. They have a specific dining area but also a lounge area to relax in too. They hold various special offers on through the week, steak nights, curry nights and quiz nights too.

This hotel is in a very central location in the resort town. It has a very attractive front and back layout. You check in through the bar and it is instantly welcoming. We registered and payed on departure. We were in room 12 which looked out only onto another building. So a view which was slightly disappointing. The room size... More

Thankyou, for your kind comments and I'm really pleased you enjoyed your stay,if you mention the view aspect next time and we will provide you with a nicer outlook. It always amazes us how two people staying in the same room can have such contrasting opinions, the persons in the previous negative review stayed in the same room. Room 12... More

My brother and law and his wife took me and my wife shopping and a leisurely walk and we stopped off here for lunch. We had 2 steak bougettes and 2 chicken bougettes, very nice and very filling. The staff was also very helpful and friendly.

Firstly I would like to say that the staff are extremely friendly and I cannot fault them if the review was on service it would be 5 stars, secondly I would have brought up issues with the staff but since me and my other half was there due to a wedding and him being the best man I thought I... I'm really disappointed you and your "other half" felt the hotel accommodation was expensive,we do run periodical promotions throughout the year (see the website) and offer discounts for more than 1 nt stays. Apologies you had difficulty with the tv but if you had contacted reception this would have been remedied. Unfortunately, the area is poorly served by the various... More

This was our second Christmas visit to the Bacchus and it does feel like a home from home. The hotel is lovely and comfortable and the staff are great. We booked so that we could spend Christmas with my parents who live in the village and we also booked the Christmas dinner which was delicious - the staff couldn't have... More

Stayed here for 1 nights as visiting family. Rooms clean but very dated. Shower not very powerful so took some time to use. We had a double room but not a lot of room to move. The hallway leading up to the rooms had a very musky smell so not sure what that was. We ate in the pub restaurant... More

Stayed one night visiting my dad. I booked a single room but was given a very pleasant double. Had a bar meal with my dad, a few g&ts and glasses of wine surrounded by friendly people (we were asked to help mark the quiz) and equally friendly and efficient staff. I had an excellent breakfast that set me up for... More

The Bacchus is a real home from home made all the more enjoyable by the friendly and helpful staff. For me it ticks all the boxes, clean, comfortable, good food and ales plus it's located just a few minutes walk from the beach. One of the best breakfasts I have had at any hotel!

Wow......As an Aussie who has done a fair bit of traveling over the years, The Bacchus Hotel is a home away from home. I had Room 12 for my ten day stay, which was a huge room with a wonderfully comfortable double bed, a double wardrobe, two bedside tables and a large dressing table with a stool and mirror. It... My wife and I got married here 10/10/2015 from the moment we enquired about hosting our wedding there, the professional standard shown by David and his staff was second to none. The atmosphere is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for David. The wedding coordinator, Yvonne was amazing. The whole day went without a hitch Yvonne and Anthony over... More
