We stayed for one night with our two vizsla dogs. Our plan was to blitz the dogs on nearby beaches for 24 hours and to do that we needed good accomodation near to the beach. The Bacchus is 'safe and reliable' without neceassrily being super-trendy. It is surprisingly roomy, and was clean, comfortable and very friendly - the room was... More

We have had a lovely time at the Bacchus Hotel, staff are amazing can't do enough for you and always with a smile.Food is very good and very reasonably priced. Dog friendly. Rooms are very clean and comfy, TV. Could do with being a bit larger screen wise. But this is a very small negative. Breakfast is full English and... More

'My partner Jeanne and myself both stayed as children with our parents in rented chalets at Trusthorpe, midway between Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea, in the Fifties. So we decided to pay a short visit to rediscover our youth! The Bacchus Hotel at Sutton-on-Sea was mentioned as a possible place to stay - and what a little gem it turned out to be.... More

My wife and I are on holiday staying on the caravan club site. The walk from the site to the beach and along the prom is about 2 miles and lovely. We arrived ready to eat and noticed the Bacchus was offering 2 meals for £12 , (Wednesday) and they are 'dog friendly'. I had 1/2 chicken, served with chips... More

Came for a meal here whilst visiting family and wished we had gone down the road. Order chicken supreme which sounded nice but when it came to the table looked like vomit on rice! I think asdas smartprice chicken supreme would have more flavour and look alot better than what was dished up especially for the price charged. Only got... More

Very sorry that you did not enjoy your meal, a replacement would have been offered, had you approached a member of staff over this matter, the young waitress did a table check and was informed that everything was fine the other three members of the party were very complimentary. This was only brought to our attention when the member of staff... More

Stayed again at the Bacchus, this time for three nights, different room (12). Once again, friendly reception, clean room and good food at a reasonable price. My wife and I stay here once a month whilst visiting an ageing relative, and we have pre-booked for August. The hotel is busy at this time of the year, and is even busier... More

Stayed here for one night on July 4th with my husband and dog Maddie as a treat for my birthday. What a lovely hotel. We stayed in room 10 which had a double bed and a single bed in it and a door out down the fire escape which was ideal to take maddie out for the toilet instead of... More

Visited this hotel to attend a family event in nearby Mabelthorpe. Welcome was very pleasant, but the room (14) was very dated with an uncomfortable main bed (although the second single bed was better) and a door to the toilet that continued to stick. Downstairs bars are comfortable and the meals served were of a good quality. Night sleep was... More

Stopped here Saturday night, kids loved it , food excellent for both adults and children , drinks reasonable and great selection. Room 3 has loads of space and several windows which increase rooms character and appeal. Bed very comfortable , good breakfast. The location of the hotel is spot on , especially ample parking at the rear, would recommend to... More
