The accommodation is very good and even Room 2, which was described as 'smaller than the others' was of a reasonable size with a good en suite.... More

We stayed at the Poppyhouse with eight other members of our family. The children with us were aged between between 8 and 4. We had the most relaxed family break we could have hoped for. We were all made so welcome. Bishops Castle seemed to have something for everybody. The men (being big beer real ale drinkers) had a selection... More

Stayed over New Year - minimum 2 nights but at this price, why not? Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Booking efficient and all contact with staff was friendly and efficient. Bishops Castle is great for beer!

The literature says that they are a small family business and they aim to offer a warm welcome to their customers, which is exactly what they did. It's a nice freindly well run place and I was made to feel that I was "one of the family". A lovely old building in the centre of the village and the room... More

We stayed b and b here for 1 night. We arrived early but were welcomed and taken up to our rooms by a really lovely lady with a great sense of humour. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. We decided to have some lunch in the tea rooms. Soup and sandwich is great value. Huge portions of very... More
