Used by one of our large group every year for the past six years, this place is amazing inside & out & everyone speaks very highly of the owners. There is parking to the rear & the breakfast is superb.

This is an absolutely beautiful 16th century listed building and a lovely place in which to stay - lovely characterful rooms (there's not a a floor or wall that not's some way off vertical or horizontal !), excellent personalised service from the owners and lovely home-cooked and locally -sourced food in the morning. There is also easy provision for parking)... More

Stayed for a Friday and Saturday night in the Blue Room. Great room with comfy big bed, big bathroom with a tub of a bath( loads of hot water) and a separate small room to make tea and read the paper. Breakfast is taken at a shared table in the lounge downstairs. Very good breakfast...cooked and/or continental....fab local sausages. Newspaper... More

Three of us stayed for 3 nights last week. We had one twin and one double for single occupancy B&B(They also have self catering apartments). Genuine Elizabethan building, very cosy, excellent breakfast and very convenient for walking on Longmynd, Stiperstones etc. I had full English on two mornings and kippers with poached egg on the other. Always well cooked and... More

We stayed recently and had 2 wonderful nights, Jill and John have done a great job with the house. We stayed in the red room with it's lovely big comfortable bed and a nice tidy little bathroom. The breakfast included is large and set us up for the day. At the front of the house you can hear the town... More

Just back from a very nice weekend in Bishops Castle. The Porch House is a lovely B & B with bags of character. The building has a fantastic history if you like that kind of thing. The hosts are very welcoming and make the stay better. We stayed in the blue room that is in the back of the house.... More

We had a winter break in this wonderful B&B. The historical house is lovely, the hosts really friendly and the breakfast different, delicious and generous. The room itself was lovely, specious with sitting area and a luxurious bathroom. We were given a tour of the house, with some of its fascinating history and that of the town. It's right on... More

Spent 2 nights at this absolutely beautiful house on the recommendation of a friend. Gill and John were very hospitable, helpful, personable and just great people. The room was (as with the rest of the house) just a visual delight with stunning traditional features. The breakfast was more than I could have wanted (literally) and what I had was simply... More

Spent a wonderful weekend in this fabulous house. Gill and John are very friendly. We were shown our room then offered tea and wonderful homemade cake. The breakfasts were great - made from top quality ingredients. We will definitely stay here again and can't recommend it highly enough.
