A beautiful room - tastefully decorated to a high standard, well equipped with safe box, iron & board, tea & coffee facilities. Great hosts always happy to help. Food delicious and good choice of real ale. Will definately book again!

We've stayed here a few times and Darren & Stu never fail to deliver good quality service, excellent food and the best breakfast ever. Bishops Castle is ideally situated for a weekend of fine dining and great beers. Room 2 is the biggest and sleeps up to 4.

Cannot praise the Boars Head enough, Darren, Stuart & staff do their utmost from rooms, service & amazing food at reasonable value. The pub is a complete gem & has everything you could ask for & that's why we use this place every year, cheers guys, Nick & Ellie

Booked this place without any prior knowledge for the BC beer festival weekend (2nd weekend in July). Didn't expect much as have stayed in plenty of these kinds of pubs that look perfectly charming on the outside, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired... Couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised - a spacious, modern, tastefully decorated room with... More

We stayed here over the beer festival and had a fantastic time. Lovely room (but my friend got that very big bed). The shower was great, for sure. Fascinated by the electric blinds. It was really great value and the breakfasts were fantastic. The staff+owners hugely helpful and wanting to ensure we had the best stay....and we certainly did!

Beautiful clean accommodation on one level so easily accessible to all. Food is fabulous - I recommend the Boar's Head pie & the Shropshire Hotpot. A warm welcome from all the staff - who can't do enough for you.

Having read good reviews of the food here, we decided to give it a try. It's a lovely pub inside, very homely with friendly staff. The local ale (Ludlow) is excellent. We had reserved a table but as we were early, had a drink in the bar first. We were given menus and our order was taken. The menu is... More

Stayed for two nights at the boars head hotel in the most comfortable bed ever. It was huge. The room was spotless and the shower was like a waterfall from heaven. The breakfast was cooked to perfection. I had a full English on one morning and the eggs Benedict on the other. Both amazing. I would revisit Bishops castle just... More

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed in this hotel. The rooms we have stayed in are spacious with extremely comfortable beds. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfasts are piping hot and plentiful. Would definitely stay again.

We only stopped one night as a last minute mini break but what a find. The family room was very large, the beds comfy and the en-suite had a wonderful rain shower. We had an evening meal (worth reserving beforehand), which was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast was well worth it and both the hosts (Darren and Stuart) were friendly.... More

The Boars Head is a Seventeeth Century former Coaching Inn and has the oldest license in the town dating back to Sixteen Forty Two.
