My friend and I wanted to see what Puerto Rico had to offer. We found Mimi's and were not disappointed. The owner David is amazing and knows Guanica like the back of his had. He personally took us out and should is a locals perspective on what the town had to offer, and it was amazing. He made our stay... More

STAY HERE!!!! You owe it to yourself. David was just great, and extremely knowledgeable about the local surroundings in terms of both outdoor activities and food. We simply followed all of his suggestions and had a marvelous time. He put us on the best food we had in Puerto Rico...and twice. He also recommended a couple hikes that were very... More

When we got there I almost run, because the first impression was terrible. The place looks abandoned and dirty. The area around the guest house needs attention, affection and painting. There garbage and crap around that needs to be collected. The room looks clean and has a comfortable bed. Although the room looks clean I saw 3 cockroaches in 3... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at Mimi's. The room was nicely decorated and spacious. Our host, David, was friendly, knowledgable, and available to help. The area has beautiful beaches and is an easy drive to a wonderful coastal hike. Mimi's is secluded and VERY quiet! There is no wifi, so be ready to really unplug... Oh, and... More

I agree with a review posted a week ago about the place being overpriced and dirty. We stayed in a different room but had the same experience - it was musty, furniture was old and falling apart, and there were little to no amenities. The bath and "beach towels" were so crunchy that I cringed using them when I got... More

I was prompted to write my first review on Trip Advisor because I felt other people need to know the truth about Mimi's. The only good thing about it is the remote and quiet location. My family and I stayed at the Christina room, the largest one. It has a queen bed and two sofas in the sitting room area,... More

Come to Mimi's if you want to get away from it all, I mean REALLY get away. I correctly anticipated a relaxation vacation (which is not our norm), so we bought in to the whole thing: Completely unplugged from electronics, networks, radios, televisions, commercialism of any kind. We've done it in the wilderness, but it feels very different when you... More

I echo the reviews here; my wife and I visited Guanica in mid-November 2014 and David received us warmly. The room was bright and colorful - and the bed comfy! Good walking in the nature preserve nearby and David has lots of ideas for hikes and restaurants. Bring insect repellant for outdoor activities. Also be sure you have David's driving... More

We stayed about 1 week at Mimi's Guesthouse and we found it such a lovely place to stay in Guanica! It is a kind of colonial villa, with lots of palms and plants all around. Our room was very nice and comfortable, maybe the shower was not so powerful but we definitively didn't care. The owner is very helpful and kind,... More

We stayed here for two nights in July and those two nights were probably the most fun we had during our visit to Puerto Rico. Guanica is currently in the midst of a drought, as is evident by the state of much of the flora in the area, but despite the drought, Mimi's yards were still quite green, lush and... More
