We stayed about 1 week at Mimi's Guesthouse and we found it such a lovely place to stay in Guanica! It is a kind of colonial villa, with lots of palms and plants all around. Our room was very nice and comfortable, maybe the shower was not so powerful but we definitively didn't care. The owner is very helpful and kind,... More

We stayed here for two nights in July and those two nights were probably the most fun we had during our visit to Puerto Rico. Guanica is currently in the midst of a drought, as is evident by the state of much of the flora in the area, but despite the drought, Mimi's yards were still quite green, lush and... More

First, my apologies to our FABULOUS host and owner David for this delayed review. We stayed at Mimi's in February, and it was a great experience. The place is incredibly beautiful and secluded and is perfect for an off-the beaten path getaway. David is so gracious and super fun to be with, and shared his extensive knowledge of the area,... My boyfriend and I recently spent three nights and four days at Mimi's Guesthouse and had an amazing time. Crazy amazing. We were looking for an escape from our busy lives and Mimi's Guesthouse was it. The rooms are beautifully decorated. We were in the Christina Suite. Really vibrant and tropical. The secluded beach was stunning and we only saw... More

My husband and I just enjoyed one of the most delicious, memorable meals ever at Mimi's Guest House. Dinner was personally catered to "just the two of us" by Chef Romy, a third-generation chef and restaurateur from Ponce. We were served six stunning courses by the Chef himself, who explained each dish as he set it down on the huge... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here on the Saturday of Easter weekend and had a blast. The room was beautiful and spacious. David the owner was amazingly friendly and helpful. A big group of Puerto Ricans from Utuado were staying in the guesthouse at the same time and invited us to join them for BBQ and drinks which was a... More

My husband and I were looking for a week away from work and wished to be removed from all of the gaudy resorts. David, the very engaging and helpful host, says he wants people to 'live like a Puerto Rican' but with all the comforts they are used to. The property is not a luxury resort, but is rustic and... Stayed here for two nights in the Studio Cibeline room. David the owner is great, really friendly, gave us a good tip for a place to eat, advice for other things. It's a secure place to stay, with off-street parking. The room is large, cleanish, with a bathroom and kitchenette area, but the fittings and furniture, (shower especially) are redolent... More

We spent 4 nights here and overall enjoyed it. We liked the quiet and the isolation and the proximity to the coastal area of the Dry Forest - the beaches further east along PR 333 and the Meseta trail at the end of the 333. We had Christina, a large spacious suite with a bedroom, bathroom and a living, dining... More

Mimi's is a comfortable, well-maintained small hotel in a perfect location by some of the most pristine and uncrowded beaches in the main island of Puerto Rico. Owner David goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome and comfortable and provides great tips for relatively undiscovered beaches, dining, etc. My only complaint is that the place could have...
