A small yet well equipped facility, makes it intimate and quiet but still plenty to do, especially watersports and local exploring/hiking. Seemed a bit peculiar in some policies (like $15 deposits on every towel, and $60 deposit on feather pillows) but they settled up the bill with no hassles at checkout. Restaurant was wonderful. Be forwarned that the extra for... more

We stayed at Copamarina for 4 days and nights and I must say it was just OK. To begin with I did not have great expectations. I had read a lot of reviews here and the sum total of all the reviews were pretty much on the mark. So atleast I had no unpleasant surprises. I wanted a relaxing trip... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Copamarina for 4 days the weekend after Valentine's Day. Although we're in our 20s, we are a bit of homebodies and don't like to party, so this was perfect for us. We wanted somewhere quiet, off the beaten path, and sunny and warm to cure our Chicago winter blues! The absolute best part... more

Let me start by saying that I actually have some mixed feelings about this place. The grounds are very well kept. The views are great and the entertainment at the outdoor bar was professional and fun, although I have to admit that my date could make anyplace fun. She wound up singing Spanish folk songs with the guitarist and kept... more

Dear Rrzzll: Thank you for taking the time to post a review regarding your stay at Copamarina. We do like to hear all of our guests' comments as it helps us to identify the areas in which we need to improve. We are often asked to address the "luxury" issue. As is common on most areas of the island (outside...

We've stayed at Copamarina five times, maybe six at this point since I may have lost track....Here's my yearly internet review...one of the many I post on various sites... :) Here's the good and bad.... We were happy with the new flat screen television in our room...the beds were comfy too unlike what some of the other reviewers wrote....the mattresses... more

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your stay at Copamarina. We do feel we need to address several of the points in your review: First, we did offer change of room as soon as you mentioned the patio to us, and you chose not to switch since you had already unpacked. We are addressing the...

We found this resort to offer a very nice and relaxing experience. Without exception we were treated well and the staff was attentive. We did not have any accidents or other glitches so cannot comment on their response to problems. We found the food and service at the two restaurants to be quite good especially for the rural setting. The... more

We came with our two very young children and our parents. There was something for everyone. The grounds and rooms are impeccable; nothing is over-done - it is elegantly understated; the layout is perfect with small, semi-secluded spaces for different kinds of hanging out (small, lovely kiddie pool with the frog, larger kidney shaped pool for older kids, lap pool,... more

We stayed 3 nights with another couple. The regular (garden view) room in fact had ocean views. The room was medium sized but quite comfortable. The staff were very friendly and quite helpful. The grounds are lovely. The food is above average for Puerto Rico. Best of all, the value factor (room cost versus what you got) was outstanding. more

I am staying here right now. They say it is relaxing. It sucks. They have an extra loud party going on a Thursday night. Many guests have to work tomorrow and the administration doesn't seem to care that people are complaining. Someone at the desk told me they were getting calls from the neighboors as well and that this is... more

Dear Bluestarfishpr: We regret to hear that you had an unhappy experience at Copamarina. For the last three days, the resort was booked, almost entirely, by a major Puerto Rico mobile telephone company for a corporate retreat. They booked 90 rooms (85% capacity) as well as two events. Last night was their farewell party, and, although perhaps the decibel level...

We stayed here for a week of relaxing fun. Copamarina doesn't pretend to be a lively place. It's quiet, you are left alone but helped if you need it. The other guests were spread out and the beach was nicely arranged with chairs, tables, loungers and cabanas. The water at the beach isn't deep (you can walk out quite a... more
