Firstly, we cannot fault Croatia. What a breathtaking country! Dubrovnik Old Town really did envelop us using all its charm and warmth. The cobbled streets and alley restaurants are typical of the region and we discovered some of the best wine we've tasted! It was so good we asked our local wine dealer to order us a case on return.... More

I first visited this resort in July 2013 and returned with my partner in October 2014 - both times were not disappointing. The difference in the resort (the pool, the rooms and the restaurants) was outstanding! The rooms were completely upgraded and the pool was much more luxurious. The buffet food was lovely but the restaurant was stunning - I... More

When visiting Croatia, you can not miss a lot as it is the most beautiful country regarding seaside, food, wine, weather, people, but if you also stay in Kalamota Island Resort then you hit the jack pot. It is hedonistic holiday in all senses. As a huge fan of Mediterranean food, I can say that this place is on top... More

Approximately 30mins ferry from Dubrovnik, the hotel is situated on a picturesque island only 50m from the shore. Upon arrival, the smell of putrid sewerage from the hotel septic tank instantly hits you and as you disembark the ferry and walk 3minutes to the hotel, the smell only intensifies making the start of your holiday instantly concerning, disappointing and stomach... We visited here with friends in August 2014 hoping for two luxurious weeks. We were extremely concerned about some worrying reviews, on trip advisor, prior to us leaving the UK but was assured this had been completely rectified via e-mail by the Thomson team and Boris, the manager. Utter rubbish. THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS A KARISMA HOTEL !!... More

We stayed here just before Thompson took it over, it is the most beautiful place, not a single car, crystal water and hardly any people If like me you like peace and quiet this is absolutely the place I would recommend if staying in Europe The only trouble was my girlfriend is a vegetarian and the choice of food is... We stayed late august / sept . pros - beautiful island, nice food in hotel and brilliant staff. Cons - hotel design cannot cope with poor weather, crammed bar area with poor seating and worst of all smell of sewage. Having contacted thomsons before going they assured us problem of smell had been significantly reduced however, it still stank and... More

We stayed here for a week at the time that the area suffered some of the worst weather it could had experienced for some time. In different circumstances it could have ended as the holiday from hell but we actually had a nice time for a number of reasons. Location is beautiful even when the weather is bad. Food in... More
