In early June, six of us did a 9 day motorcycle tour of NS, PEI, and NB, arriving via the new Portland/Yarmouth ferry. If you are looking for lodging a bit north of Halifax...the Marquis of Dufferin can't be beat. As others have said, Pat is a great hostess and made us feel right at home. Be aware that it... More

What a quaint little spot. Owners are doing a lot of rehab and the rooms are nicely setup. It stilt doesn't appear fancy from the outside, but wait til you open the door in your room and see the view! The view to the water from all nine rooms with private balconies is gorgeous. We walked around the building and... More

Everything here is A-1- host Pat-friendly and helpful; room- sparkling clean, updated, thoughtful details, tastefully decorated; the view from the delightful private veranda to the cove and beyond- picture- perfect. Only 9 rooms- run don't walk to book. This is a wonderful place from which to tour the undeservedly less visited Eastern Shore. You won't be disappointed.

Our stay was perfect, Pat was the best host anyone could ask for. The view was spectacular, fog in the evening and morning. Property was well maintained, just a beautiful place to stay.. Kevin and Robin. Delaware

We stayed here in the rain but it was still a wonderful position looking out to sea.The rooms were comfortable and a verandah to sit out on. Free wi fi. No Bar or restaurant. we had a take away from the variety store down the road. That was fine as long as you want pizza or fish and chips etc.

Clean and spacious accommodation. Beautiful setting. Wonderful host. Close to services in Sheet Harbour where dining at the Henley House Pub is a must and just a short walk from the motel is a pizza house/variety store if you don't want to "go into town". We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I spent one night here. Pat was very kind and pleasant to deal with, very friendly. The area is quiet and peaceful which is exactly what we were looking for. Clean, the room was very clean and the private balcony was lovely. Taylor Head Provincial Park is nearby for some beautiful hikes. I would recommend this place... More

We only stayed one night because we were travelling, but it was superb. Nice big room, matching linen, 2 pillows each. Pat was very helpful and her breakfast was healthy! The view was truly wonderful. We did a short walk up past the church just to stretch our legs. No need to look for an evening restaurant, the local grocery/deli... More

We only had one night here in this lovely location. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The view and the sunset were special. Pat brought our breakfast and it was really what we needed. We felt welcomed here. Had the Donaire at the local deli. No need to go to Sheets Harbor. Waste of miles and time.

I stayed here in July,2013 and found it very pleasant and reasonably priced, The breakfast box was nutrituous, the view from our balcony was very nice...watch out for mosquitoes though... restaurants are available in the nearby town of Sheet Harbor, try the Henley House Pub and Restaurant, great food and atmosphere.
