Near the river. A refurbished hotel. The room is small. Drainage problem in toilet was fixed after one day. Rudimentary toiletries. Could do with a tea kettle in room. TV has a few English news channels. Good free wifi. Limited options at breakfast. Quiet. Nearby supermarket, pizza bar. Poor cellphone network.

Dubna is a lovely little town on the Volga with an interesting history as a center for nuclear research. As my Russian friends who are well-acquainted with the area tell me, much from that era is preserved as it was, and the locals have put tremendous effort into uncovering deeper parts of their past. This means, however, that the town... More

I stayed there for 2 weeks (in May 2012) as it was school science camp and because of BI program (connected with JINR) we didn't have to pay for the rooms. I stayed in twin room, it was big with two beds, two desks, two chairs, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, small kitchen in an anteroom and bathroom (toilet, washbasin, shower). Although... More

My husband stayed here on a business trip last winter. This hotel is just awful. Tiny rooms. Shower was a rubber hose. No thermostats to control the temperature - open the window. Internet is paid for by the megabyte of data transmitted. Right in the middle of your transmission it would stop, because they would only sell you 1 coupon... More

You must pay cash only, in russian rubles! You never cannot pay by your MasterCard or Visa or AE... Service is very poor, exUSSR. Just bed/water and not so good breakfast. Bed doesn't comfortable. Litle bit far from JINR and train station. You can walk around 20min. or use a bus. #1,2 - just 3 stops.

The hotel is old and is in some way affiliated with JINR, which is pretty much the only reason to come to Dubna. The rooms are small, and old...I cannot imagine that any work has been done to my room since the hotel was built in the 60s. The room smells of cigarette smoke, and the bed is a not-particularly-comfortable... More

Dubna is very small town near Volga river with Joint Institute of Nuclear Research (JINR). In town there are 2 buildings of hotel Dubna: bld. #1 in old town and train station and bld. # 3 near new city. In the city there are some privete small hotels, but usually those hotels are busy or location not so good. In... More
