I went with very high hope. The place is situated in a place not suited for a resort. There is no scope of activity in the hotel. Rooms are small and not suitable for stay with childrens. The toilet is too small. The rooms and restaurants are full of cobwebs, maintenance is extremely poor. Restaurant does not operate all the... More

Visiting Shanitiniketan in winter used to be such a treat. But now it is becoming more and more difficult to find those sacred places of idle retreat. I have visited Chhuti many times and the experiences have been very rejuvenating. it is located about 3km from the station and in a peaceful locality. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and... Visiting shantiniketan in monsoon season is one of the fabulous thing you dont wanna miss out if your are real nature lover specially staying at chhuti, which brings more beauty to the resort, where you wont require AC rooms & enjoy the fried stuff with wide open doors in nature. Pics added.

well i planned my vacation to shantiniketan last month...after whole day of research, i found this awesome place "chutti resort". The resort is located centrally to railway station 30 mints, university 10 mints by rickshaw, 15 mints to craft emporium & several temples nearby, the best part of this resort being surrounded by garden & nature..in evening you'll find birds... Named after a famous short story by Tagore, the hotel is a perfect place to spend your "chhuti" (vacation). Away from the chaos of the main center, it is located in a residential area. You might need a rickshaw to reach Vishwabharati and other well-known attractions. Many beautiful plants welcomes you to the peaceful abode. The rooms are in the... More

Stayed at the Chhuti holiday resort for about 4 days, in early October 2012. Must tell you something about Santiniketan first. This being the place where Tagore, India's national poet, started the Viswabharati University. while this is a university town, since it is also Tagore's workplace, there are museums etc that has historical significance (albeit modern history). Also, this place... More

I spend the last weekend in Chhuti Resort in Santiniketan. We reached there an hour before the check-in time. They have given a cottage without kept waiting us. The room size of the cottage was good. But there was big gap between the floor and bottom of the door. Which cause feeling insecured. Because during monsoon, snake can be seen... More

This resort looks as if it was abandoned by the builders and the maintenance staff soon after it was built during the hay days of the erstwhile East India Company. It was late in the evening when we landed up at this resort and confronted the front desk officer who gave us a glance as if we were intellectual inferiors... More

I have stayed at Chhuti twice in the last couple of years and enjoyed both my stays there. The food is pretty nice and the rooms are clean and well kept. Though it might seem that they are a bit under staffed, we did not face any problems with the service.

We went for a leisure trip as well as for some work. Three of us - me, my husband and my daughter were there. Service is very poor. Only one person is there who was taking order, doing the room service, working in restrurant. Rooms are not well maintained. Insects are inside the room. A/c machine was not working properly....
