I stayed here for seven days in late March/early April 2009. This is a great spot if you enjoy nature, solitude, and snorkeling and diving. In fact, I hesitate to give it such a positive review because I’d like to keep this secret for myself. The “resort” (it’s not a resort in the traditional sense) consists of about 30 privately... more

Resort is great and very secluded the way Baja should be! We had the best time diving with Vickie(sp?) in Cabo Pulmo. Not only did we see massive amounts of fish and beatiful reefs, but we swam with a WHALE SHARK!!! Once in a lifetime experience, unless I get my butt back to Cabo Pulmo!!! Completely professional, small groups, and... more

We spent the week following Christmas this year at Cabo Pulmo. In many ways it lived up to our expectations of rustic Baja with a beautiful coastline but unfortunately we unknowingly chose the "windy season", and the wind did howl...4 out of the six days we were there it blew well over 25 knots. This made snorkeling impossible on those... more

For those looking to get away from it all... here is the place to visit. The resort consists of several small and comfortable bungalows that are solar powered (if you run out of electricity during the night, just close your eyes and go to sleep, or pay big bucks to have the generators power your reading light). Mosquito netting over... more

If you go to Cabo Pulmo expecting to snorkel from the beach be prepared it's not as calm (at least recently) as expected. The snorkeling tours were great but the winds created surf that wasn't condusive to beach snorkeling. The Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort has comfortable cabanas and the stars were incredible - but since everything is run on solar... more

The "resort" is a joke. It's a dump in the middle of nowhere with flies covering everything and zero ambience. The beach is full of rocks. No restaurants or ammenities to be found within miles. Steer clear!!! more

We had stayed at the Hilton for most of our vacation- but spent a night at this hotel. (nice relief from $300 a night) We had not booked anything and were lucky to get a cancelled room. We loved it...no phones- no tv's- no computers- the stars were unlike anything we had ever seen. Tito's for dinner- just preorder 1-2... more

Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort is quiet and beautiful. Walking paths, no cars driving through the complex. Bring food for some of your meals, bottled water. Restaurants are limited (Nancy's is very expensive). Casitas individually owned and rented by owners, try Casa de la Luna. more

nature is 5 star in Cabo Pulmo, the food at Nancy's was a hoax, our bungalow at the American Beach resort was kind of a Hawaiian apartment without the free pineapple or mac nuts. We have since returned to Cabo Pulmo and found MUCH better values renting from locals. Diving with the Beach' resort was the cattle call we were... more

sorry, while Cabo Pulmo is a fabulous place, I stayed at the Beach Resort and found the staff to be low end and apathetic. The beach resort lacks real ambience and as it attracts mostly shallow gringo travelers interested in downing beers and tequila. Much better options exist in Los Frailes and in private rentals in Cabo Pulmo, search the... more
