Our room (the Cressman Room) with large-screen TV, fireplace and King-size bed was clean and quiet. The bed and bedding were beautiful and comfy, although the bed was VERY high, especially for older guests. (Management assured me, though, that there should have been stools available in the room and apologized for our inconvenience.) There were no bedside tables, thus nowhere... More

I am a repeat guest of this establishment but this was the first time I had dinner there. The chef likes to play with his food; like his ph sauce (his interpretation on hp sauce) and the fabulous blueberry pomegranate butter. I love the beds here, so luxuriously comfortable I hate to go to sleep for fear of missing it.... More

The girlfriend and I were looking for a day trip and spend some time outside of the city. We settled on Puddicombe House due to its close proximity to Stratford, ON. Of course, we visited in winter so there wasn't anything to do in Stratford. However, this place was definitely nice and quaint. Rooms are Victorian-style and the bathrooms have... More

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We stayed in the Merner room and our bed was very comfortable. I wished that the room had little extras such as robes and phones. The gas fireplace and jacuzzi would have been complemented by robes and I don't know why our room did not have a telephone in it. Puddicombe House... More

If you're also a repeat visitor to the Stratford Festival, we highly recommend expanding your experience by staying in this charmingly restored historic home in the traveler-friendly agricultural community of New Hamburg, 15 to 20 minutes east on Route 7. The inn has 6 rooms on the second floor that mix modern amenities (large flat-screen TV, remote-control AC, redone bath... More

I was unable to get a hotel in Stratford the night I was attending the Festival, but was very happy to find Puddicombe House B&B a short distance to the east in New Hamburg, Ontario. The town is quaint, including a lovely park and unique heritage waterwheel just steps away from the B&B. Puddicombe House stands out on the streetscape... More

We had a fabulous two-night stay at this inn courtesy of our son-in-law. Took in two shows at the Stratford Festival while there. Location is in a small town about 15 minutes drive from Stratford - an easy commute. Dinners are delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfasts were something else - two choices each day and each dish an out of... More

I made my reservation here because due to last minute plans there was no B&B available in Stratford. Well, that was good for me ! Fabulous room, very clean and well appointed. Peaceful & quiet. Breakfast was superb. I went back up to my room after breakfast to pack and can honestly say it was all I could do to... More

We stayed here for a quick getaway on a night when we were going to a Stratford play. Because we were worried about what would be too busy in Stratford, we just had dinner at the inn, which was fine, but the menu's pretty small, and it wasn't super easy to find a main course. (Though the asparagus spring rolls,... More
