Top place for peace quiet and tranquility, friendly staff and everything at hand. Lovely beaches around here and the sun is just right for an orange tan. Not much English spoken here mostly German and Portuguese

some friends stayed last month in a private apartment, apart from the long walk to a small beach, tehre is no restaurant or shop closeby and a car is essencial to get to the nearest village of Ferragudo, apartments old fashioned and need improvements and most of all the photos on these reviews are old and the POOL is closed... The villa we were due to stay in had been burgled so we had to find alternative accommodation - we were first of all shown an apartment in this complex and I have never ever seen anything so disgusting in all of my life - I really would not have let my dog stay here! I do know that there... More

We had the pleasure of spending a week in the self catering apartment. What a sunset sitting on your balcony enjoying a glass of wine, with views across the river Arade to Portimao and the famous Praia da Rocha and beyond to the hills of Serra de Monchique. Great walk just outside of your complex around the lighthouse cliffs caves... More

Stayed here last year, in 2 bedroom self-catering apartment. Ferragudo is a lovely little fishing village, worth exploring and staying for dinner etc. There is a bus every night that takes you directly into the town centre, bus stop is 1 minute from the apartments. The steak house just down the road is incredible. (the restaurant at the complex was... More

Booked 1 week August 2008. Nice first impression ans helpful staff, got water park tickets through them. Good sized pools next to nice restaurant (which was expensive) surrounded by well maintained garden. Shop next to reception had variety of choices and freshly baked bread every morning. Stayed in 1 bed apartment s/c, 5 minutes walk from reception which was spacious,... More

Stayed here last year had a had a decent apartment for the money, this time not so good. The wardrobe's full height mirror door was broken and off the track, if we'd had small children I would have been worried. The kitchen wasn't in great condition, the fridge was rusty, the drawers in the cupboards in the lounge were glued... More

It is not 4 stars for sure (maybe in the past). Some of the kitchen appliances were in poor condition. They tried not to clean the apartment on the second day claiming new rules… There is no air conditioning or fans, even in the restaurant, which is unpleasant on very hot days. Choosing half board you are not allowed to... More

This ended up being a bit of a nightmare. We arrived quite late, the reception was fine and pool area looked lovely, the place was a little tricky to find and we had satnav!! We checked in, got our keys and made our way to apartment. The apartment was clean but was also very dated and boiling hot!!! It took... More

You must have a hire car to stay here cannot STRESS this enough there is nothing there!! some apartments are privatelty owned and then let out by the hotel so it is very hit and miss what you will get, some have brand new kitchens when others are 15 years old! however they are all large even a one bedroom...
