Stayed at this hotel before change of management. Certainly changed for the better. Made to feel welcome by all of the staff, would say that they demonstrated exemplary decorum throughout the 3 days we were there, even though we may have kept them up a bit late in the residents bar! Had breakfast and evening meal and could find no... More

Enjoyed a really nice stay at the Black Horse. It's recently been refurbished since the last time we stayed here and very pleasant it is too. The rooms are good, no complaints there. They serve a very hearty breakfast to set you up for the day, in our case walking the local countryside. The evening meals went down well with... More

Enjoyed a Living Social deal to this newly re-furbished Pub with rooms, we found a warm welcome a lovely fire (needed as it was snowing) and the room was comfortable. Very dog friendly which was a bonus our little Westie was welcomed with biscuits and a drink and fuss. The breakfast was really good quality local meat and fresh eggs,... More

made to feel so welcome at this small hotel, rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. breakfast is always superb. the restaurant is so homely. added bonus they take dogs who are made very welcome. would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Black Horse for 1 night for a romantic getaway. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed from various aspects. The staff were really friendly, the room was really spacious and the bed was extremely comfy. I've read a few reviews saying the rooms were too warm but there is a thermostat on... More

Stayed a couple of nights and found the room clean with everything you need. Only given it 3 due to value for money, we paid £90 for a double including breakfast, but found the room a bit small and average for that. Breakfast was a great cooked full English, although the timing of only 8.30 - 9.00 seemed quite restrictive.... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night over the Christmas period with our pup. The welcome at reception was very friendly and the room was spotless and very cosy. We ate in the pub and the food was very tasty and good value for money. We had the steak and sausage and mash. Both were cooked to perfection... More

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Black Horse! Enjoyed a couple of nights there to celebrate my birthday & had a great time. The room was on the top floor with a view over the rooftops of the surrounding hills & the main square in Grassington. It was spotlessly clean & had everything you needed. The staff were... More

This Pub/Hotel is usually one of the more cheaper places to stop in the heart of Grassington. If you have mobility problems but can climb one flight of stairs make them aware before you go, that you will need a first floor room. If you cannot climb stairs at all, then this hotel will not be suitable, as there are... More

Thank you for your review. I am a little confused as to why this review is only 3 stars as you have only made comment to the fact there is no lift, which in a 17th century building would not be possible and in a village this old no accommodation has a lift? I feel it unfair to mark us... More

Quirky to say the least. Rooms are more than adequate ( we had room 16, top floor, The Art Deco room) but be prepared for surprises. The floors are uneven and they creak( age of building to be fair). The showers are prone to lapses of water pressure loss and turn hot and cold without warning. One room (room 11... More

Thank you for your review. It is, as you say, an old building so we do have some quirky features like low doors and beams/stone showing in the rooms - I am glad that you enjoyed this. I apologise about the water pressure as this is not usually an issue but with the hotel being full that weekend and the... More
